I cannot tell you how much I love L.B. Dunbar’s stories! And this story, set in Penny Reid’s fictional world of Green Valley is just another jewel in the crown of Ms. Dunbar’s successes!

Love in Due Time is the story of Naomi and Nathan.  An amazing evening 18 years ago and then nothing…until a chance reunion at a Piggly Wiggly and being “stuck” together.

How can I describe Ms. Dunbar’s story…it’s like a comfortable blanket and a warm cup of tea…yet it has sizzle and heat to keep you turning the pages! I floved diving into this story and didn’t want it to end!

Naomi is such an interesting and charismatic character.  You can tell that Ms. Dunbar put a lot of research into making her perfect.  And Naomi was! Even with her being a more “seasoned” character (as Nathan called himself), Naomi had an innocence and otherworldliness that made her all the more appealing to me.

Nathan, you sexy silver fox!! He is a perfect blend of alpha and swoon! He embraces and doesn’t judge Naomi’s beliefs and that just makes him more yummy!

The surprises and the epic destiny of these two was brilliant and sad at the same time.  You are gonna fall in love hard with this story!

I am so loving the Smartypants Romance books!!

Happy Trial is just another jewel in the series of books.

Daisy Prescott is a new to me author and I am so glad I got the opportunity to read this.

This is the quirky, swoony, heartfelt and just lovely romance in the Park Ranger series.

This is Jay and Olive’s story.

Olive is an amazing character! I floved her quirkiness and I admired her strength and determination.  She didn’t let a crappy situation and experience take away from her doing something she wanted to do. She was a hilarious character if she was a real person I would totally want to be BFF’s with her!

Jay was also amazing.  He is a bit jaded, but rightfully so, to be facing discrimination and outright bigotry in this day and age is sad and so unsavory.  He keeps his cards close to his vest and when Olive comes hiking into his world, he sees what could be.

The dialogue was funny and even educational.  I get a kick out of learning new things!

As this is set in the fictional world of Green Valley, it was lovely to see past characters make cameo appearances! To me, it just adds more to the story and really blends it into the world that Penny Reid created.

I can’t wait to add some of Ms. Prescott’s previous stories onto my TBR list!

A Carmel Cove Novel

Bravo, Dr. Sharp! Bravo!  I was so excited to find out that Ash was getting his story! Not to scare anyone, this can totally be read as a stand-alone.  I had read Reputation, where Ash and Taylor make their first appearances as secondary characters so to see them get their own story is phenomenal!

And what an amazing story, what a heartfelt and heartbreaking story all in one.  This story gave me all the feels.

The battle of alcoholism, the battle for redemption and leaving the guilt behind is the main premise of this story.  Then you also have survivors guilt and the unanswered questions that haunt those left behind.

This is also a story of love, forgiveness and grace…so much grace.  The love (and lust, wink..wink) between Ash and Taylor burn up the pages.

I felt the realism and personal feelings and emotions from Dr. Sharp bleed through the words…the words “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” really resonate throughout the story.

And then to find out this is just a prelude to a new series of stories!  Well that just made my day!  I fell in love with all the characters in this story and cannot wait to see what comes next.

Boys of Trinity Hall Book 1

Holy crow, this story was the riveting tale of Xander and Rocky.  Their relationship was the very definition of a thin line between love and hate.

There are mysteries and twists galore and Ms. Ellis keeps you guessing and gasping till the very end.

Xander is the rich boy, the stereotypical alpha-hole, and he has a big hate on for Rocky.  I was appalled at some of the things that he did to her, but then he would redeem himself somewhat.  I absolutely loved to hate him.

Rocky, wow this girl was a spitfire.  An absolute rock star.  She gave back just as much as she took from Xander and made no apologies for it.  The only thing that I wanted to shake her about was she was apt to forgive Xander too quickly.  But when you’re in love sometimes you make crazy decisions that people outside of the relationship will never understand.

Now this can totally be read as a standalone, however, I have had the privilege of reading all of Ms. Ellis’s previous stories and it was lovely to see past characters make little cameo appearances.  It doesn’t take away from the story, it just adds a cherry on top of a fantastic tale of love, hate, secrets and lies.

Who really breaks who in this story….read it and find out!

Yes!! Let’s hear it for the curvy girls!! Whoop, whoop!!

I am so loving the authors in the Smartypants Romance world! I am ashamed to admit that this is the first book by Ms. Carter that I have read, but you better believe I am going to be adding her to my TBR list in the future.

This is the story of Rian and Carlos. It’s epically funny, totally sweet and oh so swoony! The flow of this story in the setting of Cipher Security is fantastic.

Rian is a curvy gal, she owns it, she rocks it and makes no apologies for it!  I love how she is taking charge of her health!  She didn’t start going to the gym “Weight Expectations” to lose weight, she went to feel better about herself and that is admirable.  Her relationship with her trainer Abel is fantastically funny and so real! I too had a love-hate relationship with my trainer in the past and Ms. Carter is spot-on in her portrayal.

Carlos is a health nut to the extreme.  He tends to be arrogant and tends to not see the forest through the trees. I can see why with his past and his parent’s relationship so I had to give him a bit of a pass on that.  But how he originally treats Rian is craptacular and when he realizes what an amazing woman she is, he redeems himself admirably.

I love seeing characters that I have met in past stories by other authors and it was fantastic reading the new secondary characters! They add so much to this already amazing story.

I laughed out loud, I cheered for the underdog and Ms. Carter gave me the perfect ending to this phenomenal story!

Fulton U

This has got to be, by far, one of the best enemies to lovers stories I have read in a loooong time!

The Second We Met is the next story set in the fictional world of Fulton University.  This is Phoenix and Elle.

This is a story that embraces the saying “A thin line between love and hate”.

Elle is struggling to finish college, she is over her head with school, work and volunteering.  She has been burned by people she has trusted and loved before and that has made her into the gal she is today.  She is prickly and has some big walls built around her and meeting Nix was just the best thing ever.

Phoenix (Nix) is the star quarterback, he lives in a house called the “Brothel” and most people think they know him.  But nobody really does.

When Elle and Nix first meet, Elle is prickly and judgemental…she believes she knows all about Nix, but she truly doesn’t.  This story is a fantastic tale of how Nix and Elle learn to really know each other.  How they grow to love each other and the ups and downs of fighting preconceived notions and judgemental people.

I really enjoyed this story and I can’t wait for new stories from this world!
