My Review...

Well, well, well….

This newest story in the Tilton University series was well worth the wait.

This is Ophelia and Mac’s story, and what a page-turner.

Fee and Mac are part of a friend group that is strong and secure. Both Fee and Mac are holding back stronger feelings for each other because they don’t want that friend group to suffer. It’s the common dilemma of the friends-to-lovers trope that I love.

There is a bit of surprise when it comes to their budding relationship, and when it comes I love how Ms. Hunting navigates it in a swoony and heartfelt way. There is no rush, and boundaries are fully in place when needed.

And to see past characters make their cameos and presence known?!? Absolute *chef’s kiss*! I flove seeing how Ms. Hunting is able to weave her other hockey worlds together in a seamless way that gives long-time readers a wonderful glimpse.

I have yet to read a story from Ms. Hunting that I haven’t loved, and this story is no exception! Well done Ms. Hunting!!

Neve Snowe doesn’t need to settle down. She is already settled in her small harbor town, with a cozy beach cottage and part ownership in the family-run auto repair shop. She doesn’t want a man, but she likes them. And she has one golden rule: only sleep with flatlanders. You know, the guys who never intend to stay in Lovewell Landing, only use the coastal area for a brief holiday.

And the last thing she desired was the unexpected . . . to be expecting.

Tate Love spent his summers in Lovewell Landing as a teenager, but somehow he’d missed the beautiful girl who turned into a spunky woman, daring him to jump into the icy ocean one New Year’s Eve, then slept with him near the town’s sacred well, holding spell-binding waters.

He never thought he’d see her again, until nine months later, a business prospect brings him back to the area.

Now, the man who longs to be tied down finds that one night planted the seed to everything he ever wanted, while he holds the pen that could sign away all she’s ever loved.

Welcome to Lovewell Landing, where autumn is in the air, pumpkins decorate every doorstep, and a little fiasco might cause opposites to fall in love.

Fall Love is a steamy, romantic comedy companion novel to The Holiday Post and continues the romances of the Snowe sisters in the beautiful and quirky small town of Lovewell Landing.

My Review...

What a welcome back to Lovewell Landing!

This is a story of a wishing well, unexpected blessings, and the heart and heat of a love that is like a beautiful fall day.

This is the story of Neve and Tate.

Neve is a bit of crumudegon, she is struggling with the changes that are coming her way, from losing her last piece of her dad to the Little Wrench she has coming.

Tate is a total Golden Retriever hero; he is dedicated to making sure that Neve is taken care of in every way.

Their relationship was fated in the stars (actually in a well); it was lovely to read and oh so swoony.

Seeing the other Snowe sisters making their appearance in this story was charming and gave the reader even more to look forward to in coming stories set in this lovely town.

If you are looking for a cozy fall read, look no further. The over-40 romance queen strikes again with this.

They’re just friends.

At least, that’s what she thinks. Him? He has other plans.

Bennett Brinkman is San Francisco baseball’s golden boy―focused, disciplined, and very bad at ignoring the one woman he shouldn’t want. Falling for his sister’s best friend was inevitable, even though she’s always seen him as safe, familiar, and firmly off-limits.

Bower knows exactly why wanting Bennett is a terrible idea. She’s fiercely loyal to her best friend and well aware that crossing this particular line could blow everything up. But when she moves into Bennett’s apartment building, that “just friends” boundary begins to blur in the most tempting ways.

The banter comes fast.

The sparks come faster.

And pretending it’s “no big deal” is getting ridiculous.

As feelings get messier and attraction turns undeniable, Bennett and Bower must decide if risking their family ties is worth chasing the love that’s been in front of them all along.

My Review...

The second book of the Bay Area Players series is one for the record books! Meghan really brings the heat and the hilarity with this newest installment.

This is Bennett and Bower’s story.

I am really falling hard for the reverse age-gap trope, and this story brings it!

There are swoons aplenty and the secondary characters…oh my me, they are phenomenal! I was literally laughing out loud, and I truly did not want this story to end.

The angst that Bower is under is relatable and understandable. I really empathized with her hard.

The struggle of Bennett to have Bower see him as more than her best friend’s little brother was heart-melting and charming.

I am never disappointed in a Meghan Quinn story, and this one is one of her best! Love, love, flove it!

A heart-mending romance for a small town marriage-in-repair between reunited lovers seeking a second chance at love later in life.

Dart Rivers is my ex-husband, or so I thought.

Three years ago, he drove out of our small town to chase racing dreams, leaving me and my broken heart in his rearview mirror.

Couple goals and shattered promises brought feelings of failure on both our parts.

Then one night, a special delivery is left on my back step. A stork-drop of sorts. (Think Baby Boom). At first, I believe there must be a mistake, but when the sweet bundle swaddled in pink gazes at me, I’ll do anything to keep her.

Enter Dart Rivers again.

An accident on the track leads to him sneaking into the house, crashing on my couch, and announcing he’s still mine.

Close proximity provides honest conversations, friendly couch time, and familiar attractions. With silver speckled in his hair, Dart is still the best-looking man I’ve ever seen, making my belly flutter and my heart beat again.

But can I trust that fragile organ? Can I give my ex-not-ex-husband a second chance? Can I believe Dart’s new promises?

My Review...

What a welcome to the newest series by Ms. Dunbar.

This story of Trinity and Dart is going to pull at all your feelings. From sorrow, to anger, from promises made and promises broken and what the real meaning of forever is.

Trinity and Dart what you think is a perfect romance, until you see the cracks, the breakdown of communication and what following your dreams means.

I wanted to shake both of these characters and yell at them. But then, through time and pages, they figured out what went wrong and work on fixing what was broken. Not perfectly, not like how it was before, but in a new and different way.

Add a surprise baby in the mix, and you get to see both Trinity and Dart really come together like what should have been all along.

I dubbed Ms. Dunbar the “Queen of over 40 romance” and she does not disappoint with this new series, a new cast of characters and I cannot wait to see what comes next.

My Review...

Well hello Hart’s Landing!

New town, new cast of characters, and for long-time fans, some cleverly hidden easter eggs to keep your heart happy!

This story introduces you to the town of Hart’s Landing. This also introduces you to a group of friends that has let tragedy separate them.

This is the story of the first of the friends, Mila. She is coming back to Hart’s Landing after ten years to care for her narcissistic mom. She feels like she had a reason to run. She feels responsible for what happened “That Night”.

Everett is just…swoon…he is all that is right in a hero.

I love the flashbacks, the mysteries aplenty, and to see the friends come back together is something that I fell hard for.

Not only is this a love story between Mila and Everett, but it is also a story of true friendship and the mystery surrounding what really happened “That Night”.

I cannot wait to see what comes next from this cast of characters!

He clicked “yes” on a dare. She bought a failing candy shop. Now they’re neighbors for the summer—and neither is ready for what comes next.

Renley Gossage has one shot to prove she’s more than Cape Meril’s favorite cautionary tale: restore her favorite candy shop before the town writes her off like they did her father. No help, no shortcuts, and definitely no rich men wielding engagement rings and making things messy.

Theo Williams never planned on ending up in Cape Meril. A drunken game of truth or dare turned into a botched online engagement, and now he’s across the ocean, escaping his father’s control with nothing but designer shoes, misplaced confidence, and a rental next door to Renley.

She’s practical, stubborn, and covered in paint. He’s posh, persistent, and willing to use a sander if it means earning her trust.

Between collapsing drywall, gossiping neighbors, and the chaotic schemes of Renley’s aunt, their forced proximity turns into something dangerously close to real.

My Review...

The British are coming!

This newest standalone, set in the judgmental town of Cape Meril is all that is good and lovely from the wonderful and talented mind of Meghan Quinn.

A romantic comedy of errors, miscommunication, and finding your true soulmate are the highlights of this story.

Renley is a fierce independent “Jill of all Trades”, not because she wants to be but because she has to be. She is fighting hard to be better than her quirky family. To prove to the town she has what it takes to make it.

Theo is a charmingly British soon-to-be Lord, and a crazy game of truth or dare brings him into Renley’s world. He is the breath of fresh air and fun that Renley doesn’t know she needs.

The secondary characters really bring the funny, the quirks, and the drama to the story in a way that really brings it full circle.

I am enchanted by this group of characters and hope it’s not the last we see of them in the future!

I should absolutely, under no circumstance develop a crush on my co-worker–the grumpy, wolf-daddy, much older high school baseball coach.

First problem? He’s twenty years older than me. Second? I’ve never even been kissed. Third? When I ask him to teach me, he said yes.

In my defense, Grey Brooks is a great coach. As an elementary school librarian, I know more about books than swinging hammers or baseball bats. I thought I was a lost cause, but from showing me how to throw a baseball to fixing up my rickety old house, all he does is teach me. And somewhere between the lessons and the laughter, we become friends. So asking him to teach me to kiss…etc, just makes sense. Right? Right?

He makes rules. Keep it casual. Keep it secret. Keep the feels in check.

But in a small town where everyone’s watching, nothing stays secret for long. Every rule we break blurs the line between lessons and love, the rumors are getting louder, and Grey thinks he’s going to ruin me.

He might be right. But not for the reasons he thinks.

Because there’s more than gossip hiding in Roseville. And by the time I see the danger coming, the only person who can save me is the one everyone says I should stay away from.

Roseville Ramblers #3

Wowza! This newest story, set in the world of Roseville, is hella hot, sweet, and with some twists you won’t see coming!

This is the story of Molly and Grey.

An age gap that is big, but so not a focal point in my opinion. Grey is beating himself up about it, but I say no way!

Molly has been sheltered her whole life. So when she finally breaks free from the chokehold of her parents, well, she goes wild! She buys a house, gets her dream job, and makes it her mission to do new things every day.

Grey is a bit of a crummedgeon; he is set in his ways, and he thinks he is living his best life until the ray of sunshine called Molly lights up his world.

The heat bellows from the pages of this story, and when it comes to peaches, well, I am never gonna look at them the same way again!

Ms. Hart never disappoints with her tales, and this one is no exception! I couldn’t put it down once I started, and I was sad when it was over. I cannot wait for more to come from this group of characters!

Wren Jensen thought she had it all—until she was left at the altar and left with nothing but writer’s block. Out of options, she packs up her five-year-old son and heads back to her hometown of Colton Valley, hoping the quiet countryside will inspire her again.

Hunter McCrae wanted that property for himself. The last thing the grumpy farmer expected was a single mom moving in next door—or how much she’d unsettle his carefully guarded solitude.

Wren isn’t looking for love. Hunter isn’t looking for neighbors. But with every stolen glance and shared moment, the walls they’ve built start to crack.

She’s haunted by heartbreak. He’s married to his solitude. Neither is ready to risk it all.

But sometimes love doesn’t follow rules. It grows wild, right where it’s not supposed to.

So worth the wait!

I am a huge Winter Renshaw fan, so when she comes out with a new story, I go into it knowing it’s going to wreck me in all the good ways.

This is the story of Hunter and Wren.

Wren is hoping that going home will help her heal. She and her son have been through the wringer, and she falls in love with a farmhouse that could have been written in a story of her own. She is a romance author and has found herself not being able to write about love. Love that hasn’t happened to her yet.

Hunter is the epitome of “Still waters run deep.” He is a no-frills, no-drama hero who comes into Wren’s world at just the right time. He is dealing with some scars of his own and has settled into his own world, where he is alone and thinks that’s OK.

From the sunflower notebook to the beautiful countryside that Ms. Renshaw creates, the readers are going to fall hard for the characters in this story. It was hard to put this down once I got started.

A Gilmore Girls meets Schitt’s Creek redemption romcom.

He’s looking for the perfect wife. She’s looking for the perfect one-night stand.

Literary agent Zoey Moody has been exiled from the Manhattan publishing scene to small-town Pennsylvania with her best friend and only remaining client, romance novelist Hazel Hart. Zoey’s bank account is running on fumes, forcing her to liquidate her designer wardrobe to make ends meet.

But this plucky heroine has a plan to climb her way back on top. Nothing will stand in her way.

Okay. Nothing except her six-foot-two-inch blue-collar landlord, Gage Bishop. He’s smart, serious, and sexy. When he isn’t practicing law, he’s working with his equally attractive brothers in the family construction business. Worst of all, he’s ready to settle down.

Zoey might be the most beautiful, infuriating woman Gage has ever met, but her special brand of chaos makes it clear they’re all wrong for each other. She’s allergic to commitment and afraid of animals. He’s looking for a wife and lives in a literal barn. (For clarification, it’s a converted barn. But he does live there with a golden retriever who doesn’t understand the concept of personal space.)

These opposites can attract all they want. They both know it will never work out. For one, even if she wanted to, Zoey could never give him what he wants.

But when Gage’s world is rocked by a devastating family secret, he turns to Zoey for one night to forget everything. That one night just might change everything…or ruin it. Yeah. That’s more likely.

Story Lake – Book 2 = Perfection!!

This is Zoey and Gage’s story, and one I was waiting on tenterhooks for!

Zoey is everything chaos, and she owns it, because she has to. She has always felt like too much until she was shown by Gage that she was perfect in her controlled chaos kind of way.

Gage is a straitlaced and organized as they come. He is the perfect match for Zoey.

I loved seeing Zoey finally come to the realization that Gage is perfect for her, heck, Story Lake is perfect for her.

The humor, heat and heart that this story has is an absolute chef’s kiss in my eyes, and this is definitely going on the re-read pile. You can’t go wrong with the talented mind of Lucy Score and the wonderful worlds and characters she creates!

Things I should never, under any circumstances ever do: ask my secret crush, aka. the most notorious (reformed) playboy in pro hockey, to take my virginity.

Too bad, I did.

After a string of terrible dates, I did the unthinkable. I propositioned Flip Madden.

Of course, he said no.
It isn’t that he’s almost a decade older than me and I’m still in university.

But because I’m his coach’s oldest daughter.

Not to mention my dad would bludgeon him with his hockey stick if he found out.

Which he won’t because it will never happen.

And now things are awkward because there’s no going back.

Except Flip is more protective than ever before and his eyes follow me in every room we’re in together. He brings flowers to my recitals and reads all the books I recommend.

Things I should never, under any circumstances ever do: hope Flip Madden might actually want me too.

My Review...

The final installment of the Toronto Terror series…say it isn’t so!!! But boy, did Ms. Hunting save the best for last!

This is Flip and Tally’s story, and what a swoonfest it is!

We have seen both Flip and Tally throughout the series, and they have both come a long way.

Flip was the consummate playboy, but we discover the real reason behind his carefree ways and see him change.

Tally is the coach’s daughter, and seeing her grow up and being brave enough to really go after what she wants is admirable.

When Flip finally stops fighting his feelings and goes after Tally…well, wowza, what a chef’s kiss of a romance! But is it all what it truly is, or is he hiding something? You are going to have to read this and find out!

This hockey family that Ms. Hunting has created really got me invested. This whole crew is one for the record books! This book and this whole series is going to be on my re-read shelf for sure!
