This series is amazing and the richness of detail of the town of Highland that Ms. Trentham describes puts the reader right on main street. Seeing the town people come alive off the pages is beautiful and shows the talent of the author.
I really enjoy the flow and sweetness that Ms. Trentham has to her stories, you get heat and some serious swoony moments, but you get a ton of heart and togetherness that some romances lack. Her stories are like a palate cleanser for life and all the dark and dreary that surrounds you sometimes.
I admired the honesty that both Holt and Claire had to each other, and I also wanted to shake Claire for the secrets she held back, but could understand it. She was trying to find her place in the world, what she really wanted and not what was expected of her.
I also swooned over Holt’s determination to love Claire the way that she needed and also what he needed. I fell in love with him in the very first story of this series.

Rachel was such a unique character! I totally admired her quirkiness, her directness and her fierce sense of loyalty. She embraces her wants and isn’t afraid to get what she wants. She is the granddaughter to one of the OG’s and with the help of family she tries to keep the OG’s safe and out of trouble, which is a full time job.
Adrian is a man’s man, a dedicated sheriff and tries hard to corral the OG’s.
I enjoyed the flow of this story. I like that Rachel’s past is slowly revealed and how it plays so much into the story. I was moved by the sense of family in the small town of Alden.
This can be read as a standalone story, but now I want to get a hold of the other books in this story to read more about the citizens of Alden, and of course the great group of grandmas that make up the OG’s.

I was so intrigued with the Chadwick Brothers when I first read about them. And now we get Nate’s story. We get the fantastically slow burn of Nyx and Nate.
I was absolutely swooning over Nathaniel! They way that he cared for Nyx when she didn’t even realize she needed caring for. The way that he didn’t smother, but was able to embrace her quirks and her whole self.
I also was so happy to see how both Nyx and Nate were able to keep their relationship as it should have been, they both had issues and scars to resolve and heal from, but they way they were able to do it platonically and honestly was beautiful to read. The slow burn of their relationship was emotional and fabulous!
The secondary characters were amazing and brought even more to this story, they brought humor and heart and above all else a sense of family and belonging!
Get your hands on this wonderful story! I love the worlds that Ms. Burgoa has created and I cannot wait to see what’s next!

Harlow and Connor are from two different worlds, two totally different upbringings, but together the sparks fly and they feed each other’s souls. It was heartbreaking to see them stand in their own way to what could be happiness.
Ms. Azzi was able to write each POV with passion and such clarity that you could feel the heartbreak and the love that both of the main characters had for each other!
I have yet to read a story by Gina Azzi that I haven’t fallen in love with and this story is no exception! It was lovely to see past characters make appearances and it was seamlessly woven in the main story of Harlow and Connor.
I cannot wait to read the next story set in this world!! Bring me Charlie and Evan!
