My Review...

If Scotland wasn’t already on my bucket list, this newest story from the remarkable Meghan Quinn would definitely be put on the top now.

You can feel the heart, heat and humor in this story, a signature of Ms. Quinn and also what makes her writing talent shine. This story is going to give you all the feels! I laughed, cried and swooned throughout this tale. 

This is Rowan and Bonnie’s tale, but it’s so much more. Their chemistry was amazing and I loved the way that they pushed each other’s buttons. Bonnie is struggling to find her place in the world and Rowan is trying to adjust and live the way that he thinks his family wants him to. To read how their relationship grew and bloomed was fantastic.

This is a story of friendships, family and coming to terms with choices made. It’s also about trying to figure out your place in the world. I absolutely loved the little town of Corkskelly and all of its inhabitants. I loved the sense of community. I loved the whole world that Ms. Quinn created with this story, from Fergus to the Boaby Stone and everything in between! 

This story is in the running for my “Best of 2021 Reads”!

Busy Bean Cafe

Ms. Dunbar is by far one of my favorite authors, the original queen of over 40 romance. Now she takes it up another notch with this newest story set in Sarina Bowen’s True North.

This is the story of Rita and Jake. This story is full of heart, heat, and oh my me, the surprises and how fate plays into this story are breathtaking!

Rita is finally finding a new normal for herself, after tragedies, she has found her footing in her work and volunteer duties. She feels she is at the age where true love doesn’t happen twice and she will be alone. But boy am I glad she is proved wrong.

Oh my me, Jake is the ultimate stud, the handsome, flirty, and smoking hot hero. He too has been dealing with tragedies of his own and he is biding his time until he is finally free.

The sparks between Rita and Jake are blazing hot, their chemistry is on fire and the smexy times between these two make a vintage gal like myself have hope for the future! (Hee hee)

I am always grateful and admired the way that Ms. Dunbar can write her older characters with just as much heat and love as anyone else. It makes a gal feel like even though I am over 40, we can still be wild, crazy, and love hard!

Absolutely stellar story and I hope you all read this!

Speakeasy Taproom

I have loved Mae’s books from the beginning of her writing career and to say she keeps getting better and better is an understatement.

With this newest novel, Ms. Wood has charmed me. You tell by the words she writes that the work she puts into each story is amazing. The background and behind-the-scenes knowledge she acquires is truly awe-inspiring. 

She is able to explain the complex careers of beekeeping and beer brewing and turn that knowledge into something that readers will appreciate. For me, it was a learning experience wrapped into an absolutely lovely romance.

I loved Riggs and Juliana, I loved that they had life experience and wisdom, I like that they were of a more vintage age and they were both knowledgeable in their strengths and also willing to see that it’s OK to be vulnerable. 

The smexy times were absolutely breathtaking! And hotter than a pepper sprout!

Ms. Mohel does it again with this newest story set in her world of friends and family! Each story is interconnected but they also can be read as stand alone!

This is the long-awaited story of Morgana and Evan. I wanted to see more of Morgana than just glimpses in past stories, I knew she was going to be a heroine to be reckoned with. 

I was empathetic with Morgana’s plight and I applauded her for taking the reins of her world and made it fit to her. Her armor was strong and her life was her own, then a little “hope” came into her world and rocked her.

This is a story about unconditional love, that family is more than blood and sometimes the most selfless act is also your greatest sacrifice.  

Evan is the perfect soulmate for Morgana, he knows when to let her fly and also when to be her safe place to fall. He is alpha and swooniness personified.

I couldn’t put this story down until the very end! There are surprises and moments that will enlighten you. It’s a beautiful and smexy as heck story that is going to rock your world.

My Review...

Again I am blown away by the writing talent of Ms. Hunting! This newest stand-alone is fun, heartwarming and swoony.

This is the story of Van and Dillion, this is also about finding your true home, becoming a better family and sometimes coming home again is the best thing you can do.

I admired the strength of Dillion, she wasn’t afraid to stand her ground and her loyalty is above reproach. She is fierce when she needs to be and she is a soft place to fall for Van.

Van is the perfect fit for Dillion, he knows when he needs to be a shoulder to lean on and when to let Dillion fly. He is dealing with issues that can make or break you, but with Dillion by his side, he knows he can face anything.

I loved the little hints and “Easter eggs” that Ms. Hunting left throughout the story for her loyal readers without taking away from the newness of this story for her new readers.I would love to live in the world she has created with Pearl Lake and all it’s inhabitants.  You too will fall in love with this story, I know you will!

Gaahhhh!! I have been waiting for-freaking-ever for Jackson’s story and oh my me, Ms. Reid did not disappoint with this story!

Every time I read a story set in Green Valley, it just makes me wish even harder that this was a true place, with real people and real community.

This is the long awaited story of Jackson James and Raquel Ezra. It’s the story of making your own choices and owning your own life. It’s also about a love so magical that it transforms the lives of Jackson and Raquel in all the good ways.

Ms. Reid has an unbelievable writing talent that truly takes the reader into the story and invests them even more in the characters. The dialogue is funny, fresh, oh so sweet and swoony. 

I fell even harder for Jackson James, he is a hero that I can really get behind and root for! Raquel is the perfect soulmate and friend for him and I loved their witty interactions and oh my me the smexy times are hotter than a pepper sprout!

The lovely inclusion of the other members of the Green Valley community, especially the Winston crew, was just magnificent. 

Penny Reid is a one click author for me, heck she could write out her grocery list and I would gladly and happily read that too!

This newest novel is going to leave you breathless.

The devastation and heartbreak are going to make you cry. The secrets and deceptions will make you gasp at the cruelty of Stephen Glassman.

This is the hot, mysterious story about Cassius and Anya, how their worlds collided, and its meaning to find true love. Cassius is the ultimate alpha hero, he was forced into vengeance and takes that very seriously. 

Anya is a product of her upbringing, she is a beautiful bird in a gilded cage. She longs for freedom and it comes in a very different form.

I loved the mystery, I was guessing until the very end, the way that these authors would give you hints and clues along the way.  Be sure to savor this story slowly, like a fine glass of wine.

A total standalone, the flow between these two authors is seamless. I appreciate that in a co-authored book, it’s rare to find a duo that has that flow.

Carmel Creek Series

This final story in this series was absolutely fantastic. 

This story of Gwen and Chevy was heartfelt, heartbreaking and swoony! There is also the bit of mystery that Dr. Sharp is remarkable in spinning into her stories.

From their abrupt and tragic meeting to their reunion is sparks aplenty! 

I loved the absolute alphaness that is Chevy, his need to protect, his need for vengeance and his possessiveness of those he loves. 

Gwen is the embodiment of a caregiver, she gives and gives until her emotional well is dry. Then she finds it within herself to give more. 

The chemistry between Gwen and Chevy is off the charts hot! The smexiness just melts off the pages!.
