This story has it all!
Swoons, heartbreak, and steaminess are aplenty in this story of Jake and Harper.
A young love severed by what turns out to be a joyous miracle.
Jake is dealing with guilt, the anger of what might have been, and being the best dad he could be. (He gets several gold stars for this). The way that his daughter has him wrapped around her finger is a delight to read and made him just more of a man you could fall for.
Harper is dealing with moving on. Her dreams were changed, and she is doing her best while confronted by a grumpy fella (and lost love), Jake.
The chemistry between these two is sizzling hot. I loved how Jake didn’t beat around the bush when it came to what he wanted and especially who he wanted.
I admired Harper for keeping up a brave face and standing her ground when it came to Jake and their relationship.
This is one of the best grumpy/sunshine stories I have read in a long while. Well done!
