This has got to be, by far, one of the best enemies to lovers stories I have read in a loooong time!

The Second We Met is the next story set in the fictional world of Fulton University. This is Phoenix and Elle.

This is a story that embraces the saying “A thin line between love and hate”.

Elle is struggling to finish college, she is over her head with school, work and volunteering. She has been burned by people she has trusted and loved before and that has made her into the gal she is today. She is prickly and has some big walls built around her and meeting Nix was just the best thing ever.

Phoenix (Nix) is the star quarterback, he lives in a house called the “Brothel” and most people think they know him. But nobody really does.

When Elle and Nix first meet, Elle is prickly and judgemental…she believes she knows all about Nix, but she truly doesn’t. This story is a fantastic tale of how Nix and Elle learn to really know each other. How they grow to love each other and the ups and downs of fighting preconceived notions and judgemental people.

I really enjoyed this story and I can’t wait for new stories from this world!

My Review…

I have been waiting, oh so impatiently for this continuing story of Lucas and Bianca. Their hotter than Hades meeting on the plane and the question “What happens when the plane lands?” Ms. Cranford continues to brings the heat, the heart and oh my me the swoons with this story. Bianca is gun shy after her divorce. She doesn’t want Lucas to be the rebound and she can’t quite trust her feelings. I so admired Bianca’s choice of finding herself, it was a hard choice but it was what she felt she needed. Now Lucas…oh you loveable hunk of Australian man! I absolutely loved him. I loved how he just knew when he needed to pull Bianca out of her head. I admired how he knew he needed to let Bianca do her thing. I also admired how he was able to stand up for himself when the time came and wouldn’t and didn’t become a doormat! Another thing I loved about this couple is how they “clicked”. They were meant to be. Even though their meeting and subsequent short time together, they both felt it! It took time and it took an amazing amount of patience on both Lucas and Bianca’s parts but it was so worth it in the end. I loved seeing past characters make a bit of an appearance, it was lovely to see what they are up to! Every story that Ms. Cranford has created is a world that I want to live in! This story is no exception and I cannot wait to see what she comes out with next!

Wowza, straight outta the gate this is a fast-paced, fast love story!

You get action, you get mystery and oh how you get the heat.

This is the story of Jason and Faith. A chance meeting, a damsel in distress and then you get the swoons.

Faith is starting over, running from a past that is ugly. She finds herself falling for an alpha with a possessive streak.

Jason is the epitome of alpha male. He is handsome, he is a take-charge kind of guy and he sees a woman in need in Faith. But he has scars of his own and he doesn’t want the feels that comes with knowing and wanting Faith.

I always enjoy reading Ms. Phillips stories and this is no exception!

Hells yes!! Ms. Hunting is taking the readers back to her world of hockey!!

This is a spin-off from her wildly popular Pucked series.

This is the story of RJ/Rook and Lainey. A chance meeting on the way to the Alaska wilderness. A fantastic summer together and then circumstances separate them for a year.

Lies by omission and secrets are revealed as the story plays out.

Lainey is a fantastic character, even with her sheltered upbringing and some catastrophic events in her life, she has pushed through and become stronger for it. She is a lovely mix of independent and fresh innocence to some things that makes her special. I admired her strength, honesty and she was not afraid to tell the people that she loved what she wanted and needed.

Oh Rook, you swoony man! I could understand why he kept some of his world away from Lainey. He wanted to finally be “seen” by a girl that he was really into. When his world gets flipped, he grabs what he loves and holds on tightly. Who doesn’t love a hero like that?

Oh and the best thing!! Seeing past characters making an appearance! It was like a family reunion and it was wonderful catching up and seeing what was new in their world. Now this doesn’t take away from the main story, it just adds more to it!

I am hoping for so much more from this world!
