Bro Code Series

Oh my me! Slater’s story is fantastically funny and hella hot! There are some secrets and twists that make the story just that much better.

Slater and Tatum have a shared past that comes roaring to life when they attend the same school. The chemistry between them is hotter than Satan’s mixtape!  Their physical moments are the stuff of legend!  The way that they try to keep their relationship a secret is hilariously funny and hopelessly futile!

As always this series has the best dialogue between all the characters.  The relationship between Finn and Slater is what a true friendship should be.

The family drama that Finn and Tatum have is sad and disheartening.  To have to deal with that at such a young age is terrible and it draws Finn and Tatum even closer.  The love they share as siblings is beautiful.

Ms. Van Dyken really knows how to write a romantic comedy! Full of heart, heat and hilarity!  So well done!

The Becker Brothers Series

…the one who’s everything, and yet somehow, not quite anything at all…

Oh how I was waiting for Michael’s story!  This poor boy’s heart has been broken for a while now and the only person who truly sees his heartbreak is his best friend Kylie.

Ms. Steiner, I have said it before and I will say it again, you are the queen of angst!  This story took my heart and squeezed it painfully in your hands until the very end!

My heart wept for Kylie!! I could so empathize with her plight.  She was the emotional punching bag, the best friend, the ride or die and being Michael’s best friend she did die a little each day.  She wasn’t strong enough to declare her feelings and she had to suffer in silence.  Until she realized maybe it was her turn.  I admired her strength when she needed it and her perseverance and determination when it was warranted.  She is truly the heroine in this story.

Oh, Michael, a false love blinds you, your broken heart cripples you and when a true friendship and love comes into your life do you truly see.  But mistakes are made and the way to happiness is littered with a past that refuses to die!  I wanted to shake him sometimes!!

This story ends brilliantly and so perfect for them!  I also am dying slowly over the mystery of what has happened to the Becker patriarch!  Every story in this series shines a bit of light but when will the mystery be revealed!! I cannot wait for Jordan’s story next!

I am so loving this Wingmen Inc spin-off series!

This is the second book and it’s Leo’s!!!  This is a fantastic spin on the younger man, older woman trope that I am loving hard!

Kora and Leo have a long history.  She was Leo’s teacher in his senior year of high school ad he fell hard for her.  But Kora was married and she was a professional that kept him at arms length.

Fast forward to present day, Kora is now an adjunct professor and Leo is a senior in the college Kora finds herself at.  Sparks start flying!! Kora is trying to piece herself together from a horrible marriage and decides to hire the services of Wingmen, Inc.

The quick-witted dialogue is fast, on fire and oh so funny!  I was laughing out loud one minute and swooning the next! In fact when Leo says “..the heart doesn’t measure its beats based on age…the heart doesn’t discriminate…” I needed a fan and a glass of wine after that!

The secondary characters are fabulous and bring so much more to the story!  I cannot wait for Finn and Slater’s stories in the future!

I so love the world that Ms. Van Dyken has created with this series!  Well done!

Quick wit, a spunky heroine and a swoony hero are what you get with new story from Lauren Blakely

Asking for a Friend is the story of Amy and Linc.  I so enjoy the world that Ms. Blakely has created and seeing past characters make an appearance.

Amy is a fantastic heroine! She is a love of words, an absolute wordsmith with a heart of gold and a determination to make things happen in her world and to help her friends.

Linc is the new man in town and the office. He has been burned in the past and when he meets Amy he doesn’t want to listen to his heart right away.

A chance meeting at work and a serendipitous encounter over the interwebs makes the sparks fly between Linc and Amy.

I loved the wordplay in this story, the quick wit, and dialogue between the characters and I absolutely love that Amy describes Linc as “dishy”! I will be adding that delightful word to my vocabulary!

A fast-paced read that I couldn’t put down until the end, the world that Ms. Blakely creates is fantastic and this story is another jewel in the crown of her books!
