The Sinister Fairy Tales Collection

Wowza!  What a wickedly epic spin on the tale of the Little Mermaid!

This is the first book I have read by Hazel Grace and I am glad I had the opportunity to dig into this tale.

This story is a fantasy of epic proportions, of the power of family and the power of love.

I loved the strength of Divina, she was little but she was absolutely fierce! She was compassion embraced and her love of her sisters and her love of Tobias and Dagen shone through the whole tale beautifully.

The world that Ms. Grace creates with her words really draws you in!  I could really “see” the island that Divina lived on, the castle by the sea.  The beauty of her sisters and the fierce handsomeness of Dagen and the debonair swooniness of Tobias.

If you are looking for a sweeping, lush tale that will take you on an epic sea adventure, get your hands on this tale!

The Arrowood Brothers

This introduction to a fabulous new world created by Ms. Micheals is a great twist of fate, a serendipitous tale of love and hate, of heartbreak and healing, of above all else forgiveness and hope.

This is Connor & Ellie’s story, a chance meeting, an unforgettable evening of sharing souls.  Then time and circumstances tear them apart and then bring them back together years later.

Connor has had a nightmare of a childhood, and when he had the chance to run from it, he did and didn’t look back.

Ellie too has had a nightmare.  Her’s is her marriage and the loss of her parents.

I loved the sayings that the matriarch of the Arrowood family has with each of her boys.

“What is the one truth about an arrow?”  I fell in love with Connor’s answer and I can’t wait to find out Declan’s, Jacob’s and Seth’s answers in future stories.

The Baileys

I love being immersed in the world of Lake Starlight and the Bailey family!  The only thing missing was the Buzz Wheel stories, but I have a feeling the author is about to come to light soon!

This is Phoenix’s story, she is the youngest of the Bailey clan and a self-proclaimed black sheep. I love her tough exterior and her sassy attitude.  But I also empathize with her fragility and her bucking the trend and becoming something of her own.

Now I know this is Phoenix and Griffin’s story, but it is so much more.  I love how each story in this series brings us closer and closer to the whole Bailey clan.  The heartbreak and the happiness.

Yes there is a bit of an age gap between Griffin and Phoenix, but come on, it’s not that big of a gap and they fit each other so well.  I enjoyed seeing Griffin’s passion for music and his passion for Phoenix come to the forefront of this story. I also wanted to shake him and smack him upside the head for making decisions that were not his alone to make, but all comes through at the end!

Readers, do yourself a favor and get this book and all the books in the Baileys series.

My Review…

This final book in the trilogy was amazing! This story of Elisabeth and Carter has brought me full circle.

I was unraveling, I was in anger and shock and then I was breathing a huge sigh of relief!  True love and family doesn’t care about blood and DNA, it cares about the people you choose to be in your world.

The secrets and lies are going to bring you down a rabbit hole that almost feels like there is no end.  Then Ms. Allen takes you gently by the hand and leads you to the promised land of love and happiness.

This trilogy was epic in the richness and diversity of the characters and the storytelling was on fire with the drama, the steaminess, and the plot twists.

I was turning the pages until the very end and even when it was over, I still wanted more!

I love the fact that Ms. Allen was able to bring a part of her other series into this.  A bit of a tease for future stories?  I hope so!

This story, this whole trilogy is worth every minute of reading!

A Cocky Suits Novel

I am really enjoying this series by Mr. Howell and Mr. Wolf!  This band of brothers and the women that take over their world is really fun, smexy and the heroines rock!

This is Dexter and Abigail’s story.

Dexter is the peacekeeper in the family, well as well as a Collins man can.  He is trying to make a bigger name for himself within the family’s law firm, he is also trying to mend the bridge that was burned between the oldest and the youngest brothers in the family. He feels like he has everything he needs in his world until he meets Abigail, and then he realizes he needs her.  I loved the softer side of Dexter, his romantic side was stellar! The things he did for Abigail was amazing!

Abigail, this gal, despite her age was fierce in her independence.  Almost too fierce, but I admired it.  But sometimes she was blinded to the world around her and maybe that was because of her age.  I like that there was a realism to her character.  She was the perfect mix for Dexter.

The collaboration between Mr. Howell and Mr. Wolf is seamless and so well written! The true testament to a good writing team is not being able to differentiate between the two and this with series it’s epic.  Can’t wait to see Donovan’s story next!! Oh and what’s going on with Rick Lawrence? That’s a character that I need to know more about!

Wow…just wowza…this book!! Ms. Fisher is gonna take you down a deep, dark rabbit hole and won’t let you see the light until she is ready to let you go.

The Wives takes you on a dark and twisty tale.  What’s reality, what’s delusions, what is love and what is hate?  So many questions and the answers are gonna floor you!

Thursday is the central character of this story, she is on the search for the truth in her world. But to find that truth, she has to go through so, so much!

Ms. Fisher has a magic to her words! I couldn’t put this story down once I started.  I went through a whole gamut of emotions when reading this! With every character, I could find a reason to admire them and then hate them!  I was second-guessing myself as I was reading this and that was amazing to me!  Who was the victim? Who was the perpetrator?  Who was the hero/heroine?  Even at the end, I was wondering who to really cheer for in this story.

This is the definition of a thriller!  This story is going to take your mind on a wild ride and you are going to need a minute or a day when you finish to really let the amazingness of this story to settle in!

Bravo Ms. Fisher!

The Bro Code Series

Oh, this final book in the Bro Code Series is on fire! All hail the curvy gal and the evilness of shapewear!

This is Finn story and what a heckuva surprise did Mr. Titus have! “When a woman is beautiful, she should be told over and over again until even she belives it…”  Good gracious, Ms. Van Dkyen you sure know how to make a gal swoon!! Finn is funny, sweet and I love that he goes after what he wants.  Even if it’s with blinders on, and he sometimes loses the forest through the trees, he still knows what he wants.

Oh, Jillian, this is a girl after my own heart!  She is a bit adorkable, a bit shy and a whole lotta tempest in a teacup!  She is fighting against herself with her feelings for Finn.  I can totally relate to her fears! She has some real-world issues in front of her and some issues of the heart that scares her silly.

I am so in flove, that’s right flove, with this series from Ms. Van Dyken, you will too!
