“Is there a better word for fake girlfriend?” He politely ponders. “Like I’m actually legit asking.”

“As a whole, not that I can think of. If you’re looking for a better way to phrase, ‘Hey be my fake bitch’, I would go with something a little more romantic, like ‘Hey, be my fictitious bae.’. Has more heart.”
I tap his solid chest to reiterate the word and immediately regret it.

What is that shit made of?

Stone?

“Alright.” Stratton smiles again, this one reaching his ears. He takes my hand slyly into his, lets his thumb start brushing the back of it, and asks, “Tatum ‘I Think Your Ass Looks Amazing In Those Jeans’ Rojas, will you do me the honor of being my fictitious bae?”

Was that a real compliment or one cleverly placed to get me right where he wants?

And where exactly is it he wants me?

And can I hate myself any more for being willing to be there?

Words that I wish were spoken in a more authentic situation.

I bury the whimper that wants to slip out from enjoying the feeling of his callous thumb still stroking the skin underneath my sleeve and sigh, “Let go of my hand, Stratton.”

To my surprise, there’s reluctance, yet he inevitably does as requested.

Putting my defenses back up in their usual spot, I bitterly ask, “Why am I, Tatum ‘The Innocent Accounting Student’, ‘exactly’ what you’re looking for? Have you been talking to Angel about the shit she learned in her religious studies class over the summer? Do you like need a virgin to sacrifice for some bizarre hockey ritual?”

He lets his light eyebrows soar into the air. “Are you a virgin?”

“No, so you can set your cult ritual gaze elsewhere.”

The Rain Trilogy – Book Two

This fantastic installment of the post-apocalyptic romance that Ms. Easton has created is absolutely a thrill ride.

This is the continuing story of Rain and Wes takes us to the day after. What happens after the apocalypse doesn’t happen?

The world that Ms. Easton continues with this installment is epic, phenomenally epic!

I was amazed at the twists and turns this story took. From beginning to end, I was gasping and the way that Ms. Easton is able to describe Franklin Springs and Pritchard Park Mall well I could actually “see” them and that’s a testament to true writing greatness. There is a new cast of characters that add more to the mix and a surprise from the past that affects Wes and Rain’s relationship and tests its strength.

The words flow off the page and I couldn’t put this story down until the end! And what an ending!! I am counting down the days until the final installment comes out!

This is the story of Lincoln and Mackenzie. This a story that is gonna make you laugh, give you the warm and fuzzy feelings and it’s gonna give you some big ole swoons!! Oh my me the swoons!

Both Lincoln and Mackenzie have highly stressful jobs, which in itself make them a perfect match for each other.

Mackenzie is a character I can really rally behind. I admired her bravery, her tenacity, and her adorkability. I love how she was struggling with her bedside manner and I absolutely floved her confidence in her work and in her ability to take care of herself. She is definitely a woman, hear her roar.

Lincoln, oh this man is the flirt aficionado! I can understand using that as a deflection to the real issue he has. This is a fella that made me swoon hard. His humor, his loyalty and his determination to make Mackenzie his was absolutely beautiful to read!

The whole town of Benevolence and the townsfolk have won me over! I want to live there! I want to have a BBQ with the neighborhood and have nerf wars with the kiddos! Ms. Score has created a community that we would all love to live in!

The Legend Trilogy

What a fabulous finale to the Legend Trilogy!

The love that Gabriel and Scarlett have is off the charts! It truly is the meaning of love conquering all!

Gabriel finally realizes that he is good enough, strong enough and most deserving of Scarlett and her love. He is still fighting to be sure that his world doesn’t stain the loveliness that is Scarlett. His romantic and sweet side is so swoon-worthy and makes me want to hug him hard!

Scarlett really shows her strength in this final book. Her love for Gabriel shines through in all that she does. She too is fighting for their relationship and will do anything to ensure that her new family is safe.

Twists and turns are aplenty again in this story! Action, drama and oh my me, the heat and swoons! Secrets are finally revealed and in true Meghan March fashion, she sets up for some spectacular new stories from some of the secondary characters.

Speaking of secondary characters, they are fabulous and bring so much more to the story, also the brief appearances by past characters are fantastic and it’s lovely to read about them again!

Another fabulous, funny, and steamy read from the mind of Lauren Blakely

This is the story of Peyton and Tristan, friends since college, but they always had this vibe together, unfortunately, timing was never on their side and friends they remained for years.

When an amazing and fun opportunity falls into Peyton’s lap, she looks to Tristian to help her with the process of recreating romantic tropes from books. I absolutely loved this storyline and often wondered if popping buttons and bathtub hijinks were really feasible. The way that Ms. Blakely presents it is fresh, funny and uncomfortably real!

The chemistry and familiarity between Peyton and Tristan is fantastic and the steamy scenes were just wowza!

I also enjoyed the secondary storyline with Tristan and his brother Barrett. You have to really pay attention to the dialogue and then you get a heartwarming surprise at the end.

I have yet to read a story by Ms. Blakely that I haven’t thoroughly enjoyed and this story is right up there with the best!

OK, this is it! This is the second book by this fabulous author I have read I now I am going to be a life long fan and stalker!

Focused is the first book in the Ward Sisters series and it’s Molly and Noah’s story.

A brief and disastrous meeting in their past sets up their amazing meeting 10 years later.

Molly is a force, even with her past, she is well rounded, loves her family and is amazing at her job. Even with the grumbles of nepotism from her new boss she wants to prove she has what it takes to make her way in the Washington Wolves football world.

Noah is the definition of hyper-focused. He lives and breathes his football career, nothing will distract him from being the best he can be.

The relationship that develops between Noah and Molly is nothing short of miraculous and beautiful. Ms. Sorensen has a way to her words that pulls you into both of her character’s mindsets and makes you feel like you are there in the world they live in. It took courage for Molly to do what she did and I applaud her strength to fight for what she wanted and wouldn’t settle for anything less.

It was so swoony and adorable to see Noah have his “ah-ha” moment and the things he was willing to do to prove himself to Molly.

I cannot wait to read the next story in this series! I cannot wait to read all her stories! Get your hands on this, get your hands on all of her stories, I am getting ready to do that myself!
