Blurb:

“Will you do me the greatest honor of all time and be my bridegroom?” she asks, hope in her eyes . . .

How did I get here? My assistant, bent on one knee, holding my hand, her expectant face waiting for an answer.

Just . . . how?

How did I go from being insulted by Charlee Cox to hiring her to be my assistant? How is it that she’s chaos in color – making me crazy and my life better at the same time?

I never thought I would be staring down at her bright blue eyes begging me to go along with this ridiculous scheme I suggested.

Yes, I suggested. Like the idiot I am, I thought hey, why not start an HR nightmare and have my assistant ask me to marry her?

Confused? Don’t worry, so am I.

But try to follow along, because this is how I became Boss Man Bridegroom.

EXCERPT:

**RATH**
“Rath Westin, my boss, my commander in chief, my Gucci Governor—”
“I don’t wear Gucci.”
“Go with it.” She winks and clears her throat. “Mr. Big Shot, Barking Britches, and Irritable Ira—”
“Jesus . . . Christ.” I rub my hand down my face.
“Will you do me the great honor . . .” She wobbles on her bent knee and clutches my hand to steady herself. “Will you . . .” She tears up, her voice becoming shaky. “I’m sorry, I’ve never done this before.”
“I sure as hell hope not,” I say through gritted teeth.
“And I didn’t think I’d get emotional either.” On a deep breath, she finishes, “Will you do me the greatest honor of all time and be my bridegroom?”
Christ, nothing is ever simple with her.
“Why did you say it like that?”
“Did I not do it right?” she mumbles to herself. “See, I knew I was doing something wrong.”
“No, why did you say bridegroom?”
“Oh, well, that’s what you would be. You see, that’s what they used to call men who were soon to be married . . . a bridegroom. But then somewhere along the way they shortened it to groom. But if you marry me, I would give you the dignified pleasure of retaining the honorable title of bridegroom.”
“Don’t call me bridegroom.”
“Boss man bridegroom?” she asks with a cheeky grin.
How the fuck did I allow myself to get in this position? With my quirky and sometimes annoying but mostly efficient assistant, kneeling in front of me . . . proposing.
Proposing to me.
In a pair of belly-covering slacks and suspenders, hair pulled back into a tight bun like she often wears it, looking up at me through her red-framed glasses, her bright blue eyes shining past the lenses, begging me to go along with this ridiculous scheme I suggested.
Yes, me.
Like the goddamn idiot I am, I thought hey, why not start an HR nightmare and have my assistant ask me to marry her?
Confused?
Don’t worry, so am I.
Where do I even start? Maybe from the beginning?
Here is a quick rundown: my ex, who used to work with me, left me for bigger and better things. We don’t talk about her, ever, because she took my heart with her. Instead, I buried myself in my work. I became a hermit in my office, firing one assistant after another because they weren’t good enough or their voice annoyed me, or they thought salt was sugar and gave me one bad cup of coffee that ended their career at Westin Enterprises—that mistake was on them.
In my spare time—not that there’s much—but when I do have spare time, I follow my two idiot friends around the city, helping them avoid fucking up their lives. But now that they’re both in loving and committed relationships, one planning a wedding with my sister as the bride, I have much more time on my hands.
Maybe they’re to blame for my demise, for this ridiculous charade I’m now a part of.
What does this have to do with my assistant proposing to me?
Well, you see, I was in the market for yet another new assistant, and that’s when one of my best friends, Bram, suggested I lean on his assistant, Linus, to help me find someone. Side note: Linus is a gift from God, and I’ve offered him huge pay raises many times to jump ship and join my company, but his loyalty lies with Bram . . . unfortunately.
So Linus helped me find an assistant, and that’s where it started to go downhill.
The minute I saw her, I knew it wasn’t going to be a good fit.
Why?
Because she’s too goddamn beautiful.
Because she’s far too bubbly.
Because with every smile and checklist she devises, she makes me want to bend her over my desk and make her mine.
But, since I clearly don’t know how to make any decisions worth a shit, I hired her, right there on the spot.
And that was the beginning of the end.
Need to know more? Well in case you are on pins and needles about my answer to her proposal, I said yes.
Here’s the story of how I became Boss Man Bridegroom.

My Review…

I was so excited to see Ms. Quinn taking us back to the world of Bram, Roark and Rath!

I know I was waiting, not so patiently for Rath’s story and boy did Ms. Quinn not disappoint!

This is an office romance with the Meghan Quinn twist!

I loved the brashness of Charlee! She is color and light and even though she has had something horrible to her, she has tried to pick herself up and dust herself off! I love her love of all things office supply, her friendship with her grandma and her absolute amazingness at her job as an executive assistant. I could so relate to her (being as though I was one of those myself for 20 years!).

Rath is a determined man, he likes his things just so and he is particular in his business.  He is absolutely floored when Charlee starts working for him, bringing color and light into his world, along with the newfound love of romance books!

The chemistry between Rath and Charlee is epic and I loved reading how hard they fought against the pull that they had.  It took a big scare to bring it all together!

As with all of Ms. Quinn’s stories, you get hilarity, I found myself giggling out loud many times when I was reading.  She brings wowza hot heat and lots of heart.

It was absolutely amazing to see all the past characters in these series to make an appearance! The bromance between Bram and Rath is total #relationshipgoals !!

Thank you, Ms. Quinn, for saving the best for last!

I’ve been accused of having an over-active imagination. To my benefit, this imagination has created over twenty novels, including the creation of a small-town world (Sensations Collection), rock star mayhem (Legendary Rock Star series), MMA chaos (Paradise Stories), rom-com for the over forty (The Sex Education of M.E.), and a suspenseful island for redemption (The Island Duet). My alter ego, elda lore, creates magical romance through mythological retellings (Modern Descendants). My life revolves around a deep love of reading about fairy tales, medieval knights, regency debauchery, and strong alpha males. I love a deep belly laugh, a strong hug, and an occasional margarita. My other loves include being mother to four grown children and wife to the one and only.

My Review…

The Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge

“I want to read you…” oh holy swoon!

I cannot tell you all how much I love L.B. Dunbar’s writing! This is the story of Billy and Roxanne.

This is a story of just so much more than love.  This is a story of secrets coming to light.  Insecurities rearing it’s ugly head and how misconceptions can skew your thinking and how you see people.

Billy is labeled as a player, he feels like he is always out to prove himself.  The bickering and fighting between him and Roxie is the best type of flirting!  He is struggling with the secrets he keeps and a huge secret that comes into the light.  He is worthy of all that is good in the world and he deserves happiness.

Roxanne is every woman, she has her faults and vulnerabilities, but she is also strong when she needs to be.  She too deserves love and the fighting between her and Billy can be hurtful, but it also reveals.  She is struggling to keep what she loves close.

The chemistry between Roxie and Billy is like a house on fire and the push and pull they have for each other wanted me to hug them close and sometimes slap them upside the head!

I think Billy’s quote sums up this story beautifully….”it doesn’t matter who you loved first, it was the last who mattered….”

Ms. Dunbar, your words absolutely move me!! Thank you for writing about silver foxes and the silver vixens who tame them!! Please don’t ever stop!

EXCERPT

“You’re not calling a cab,” he bit out.

“Why not?”

“Because I can drive you.”

My spine straightened, immediately going into defense mode. “You don’t have to do that. I’m a big girl, I can most certainly call a cab.”

My gasp was swallowed by his mouth as his lips crushed down on mine, his tongue demanding and possessive inside my mouth. If I hadn’t been staring at those lips for the past two hours, I swore I wouldn’t have given in quite so easily.

“Jac, I don’t care how big or small you are,” he rasped against my mouth, biting my lower lip in between words. “I don’t care if you’re Navy SEAL or a ninja. Heck, I don’t even care if you’re a Jedi and you’ve got a lightsaber holstered to your side, I’m not letting you get in a cab alone. So, you can sass me all you want but unless you’re planning on knocking me out, the only cab you’re getting in is the one in my truck, and that’s all I’m gonna say about it.”

Feeling a thousand emotions I was afraid to describe, I blinked in shock as he stalked off to grab his gear and say goodnight to his bandmates.

I didn’t know why I argued with him. I didn’t want to argue with him, but this was me. Independent. Alone. I didn’t rely on anyone, especially a man, because the last time that happened, Evan had turned me into the kind of person I despised and then went and betrayed me for it.

“Ready?”

I was sorely tempted to knock him out just for the heck of it, but I really needed him to kiss me again and those things were mutually exclusive.

With a nod, I stood, my black leather pants from the first night we met sticking slightly to the faux leather cushion. I’d opted for another Star Wars tee that I knotted in front of my stomach to make it look vintage fashionable instead of the easy, comfortable pick that it was.

He held the door open even with all the gear in his hands and let me walk out of the building first. My steps slowed sensing his gaze was on my butt. I wanted his gaze on me. I wanted his eyes everywhere because they felt like when the sun comes out from behind the clouds on a cool spring day and you can feel the heat immediately as it bloomed every cell to attention.

I craved the warmth, no matter what it was doing to my frozen walls.

He reached around me and grabbed the passenger door to hold it open and I couldn’t stop my mouth from smarting, “I know how to open a door.”

He waited until I was seated before leaning partially through the frame to reply, “Never said you didn’t, Jac. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should – especially when you’re with me.”

My mouth opened but the door closing had me shut it again.

Whatever. He could have his Charming-complex, I thought with an eye-roll even as my heart thudded harder in my chest, enjoying far too much being around a man who wanted to take care of me.

I turned my head to Kyle when I realized that we were both now sitting in a truck that was running but not moving.

“Didn’t want to interrupt,” he explained, his eyes searching mine like he could see what I was thinking. “Where to?”

My lips parted but Marissa’s address lodged in my throat.

I didn’t want to go back to the apartment. I wanted more time with the man who insisted on holding my coat and driving me home and opening doors. I wanted one more night with Prince Charming before this whole spell ended.

“I’m not giving you my address,” I said smoothly, running my palms over my thighs before crossing my arms in front of me. “In case you turn out to be a stalker.”

“Me?” he asked incredulously. “You’re the one who made me take you to my apartment. You’re the one who showed up at my place of work. And you’re the one who was at my show tonight. Maybe you’re the stalker.”

I glared at him, especially when I saw the smile tugging at the corner of his lips. I should just give him the address now. I should, but I wouldn’t because I wasn’t ready to let go of this night I’d been thinking about all week.

“Not a stalker,” I said, pretending to examine my teal nails. “Just unlucky.”

He chuckled. “So, is this your way of forcing me to take you back to my place again?”

“Oh no.” I shook my head. “I could show you what forcing you would be…”

His deeper laugh was drowned out as he put the truck in gear and pulled out of the lot. Even though I’d only been to his apartment once, the roads there felt like they were engraved in my brain, like an address of sorts – the one I needed to remember in order to get home.

“So, what do you do when you aren’t training or on the mountain?” he asked as we passed over the lamp-lit streets of Aspen, flurries trickling down from the sky.

“Why? Wondering what my plans are once I retire?” I said it lightly, but the way he looked at me was anything but.

“I’m not a reporter, Jac. I’m not asking to try to get the inside scoop on your life or your future. Just want to know about you, that’s all.”

I shrunk back against the seat, knowing I had responded defensively. What else was I supposed to do? That’s all they ever wanted to know. Hobbies to try and speculate what would happen to me when my career was over, anything to try and make me feel vulnerable, to remind me that I couldn’t keep the gold forever.

If there was one thing I’d learned about the public, it was that their fascination to see you rise was only surpassed by their twisted desire to witness your fall.

“I like to watch movies. Especially during the season, it’s easy… and doesn’t require me to leave the house.” I laughed, toying with the knot on my shirt. “I like to make juice, too. It’s allowed on my training diet, so I experiment. Sometimes, I pretend like I’m testing out different flavors to create a menu for my own juice bar.”

“Jac’s Juice?” he asked with a smile.

“Something like that…” He laughed and then so did I, our eyes meeting somewhere in the middle of something neither of us had been expecting.

If my lip was made of thinner stuff, I would have chewed a hole through it in the last few minutes it took to navigate to the parking lot of Kyle’s building. He sent me a glare when I opened my own door to get out of the truck but still managed to grab all his gear and hold every other door that we encountered on the way up to the twelfth floor.

It felt strange to see a place for the second time. My rule was always one night. And that meant one impression of the place before I forgot about it and moved on. This time, I noticed the same things as I did the last, but wondered about them more.

“What’s that for?” he asked, coming to stand in front of me.

“What?”

“The look on your face,” he said, a large warm hand cupped my cheek. I felt every inch of it, right down to the calloused fingertips that came from plucking the strings on his guitar. I felt every cell on the hands that made me feel warm and safe and cherished in ways I knew could kill me if I found out they were false. Again. “What are you thinking about? What hurts?”

“Nothing.” I turned away again and moved toward the couch.

I heard him growl, his footsteps coming up quickly behind my retreating form.

“What are you running from?” he demanded, reaching for me and turning me to face him.

I should’ve fought him, but I was tired of pushing him away.

Maybe I could have more than one night with him… for just a little while…

“What everyone runs from,” I seethed, stepping into him and pressing myself flush against his interrogating hardness. “Anything that can destroy you.”

His head dipped down and my lips tingled in anticipation, but his mouth didn’t come for mine.

“Well, that’s not me, Jac,” he said softly, instead pressing a kiss to my forehead. “I’m not here to destroy you.” Another kiss on the side of my cheekbone this time. “I’m not here to hurt you.” A gentle brush of his lips on the tip of my nose. “I’m just here for you.”

My Review…

A Winter Games Novel

This is the story of Kyle and Jaclyn.  I was cheering hard for Kyle’s story! This story can totally be read as a standalone, but I have read all the previous Winter Games novels so I had a vested interest in finding a happily ever after for Kyle!

I loved the premise behind this story!

Jac is her own hero, she has been taking care of herself since forever and she has created this public persona that tells everyone to stay away.  She doesn’t need a white knight saving her, she can save herself.

Kyle was the perfect person for Jac, he understood how to love her hard and how to break down the walls surrounding her.  He knew that she didn’t need someone to save her, but he wanted to be the soft place for her to fall at the end of the day. He saw through all the media bull to see to the heart of Jac.

This story takes us back to the world of competitive skiing and the pros and cons of being the best in your sport of choice.

It was lovely seeing past characters in this series make an appearance! It was great catching up with what was going on with them!

It’s sad to see this being the last in the series, but we all know that Dr. Sharp is going to keep entertaining us with her stories and the worlds that she creates!

The first time I saw him was at a bar called Ophelia’s on a misty Thursday night. I was there to drown my sorrows after a trying day, he was there to escape the storm. After a brief yet incredibly cruel exchange, the handsome stranger bolted before I had a chance to tell him off. Incensed and three cocktails deep, I followed him out the door, determined to give the audacious Adonis a piece of my mind.
Tearing after him in heels and barely able to keep up in the freezing rain, I ended my chase when I realized where he was going.
They say never to judge someone unless you know their story.
I never could have anticipated his…
And I never could have anticipated the way our paths would cross again—or that I would one day find myself falling for a man with a hollow cavity where his heart should be, a man as callous as he was beautiful, as complicated as he was mesmeric.
They say never to judge someone unless you know their story.
This one’s ours.

My Review…

Oh my me! This story is got all sorts of twists, all sorts of secrets and I enjoyed falling down the rabbit hole that Ms. Renshaw created!

First off, one of my favorite all-time movies is “All of Me” and this story is so reminiscent of that!  It doesn’t hit you right away, but as you make your way through I saw it and I fell in love even harder!

This is the story of Bennett and Astaire, two strangers that meet and there is no love lost between them at the first.

Astaire is amazing! She has had a tumultuous childhood, but she didn’t let that define her. She finds the silver lining in all things.  She is the epitome of grace, compassion, and love.

Bennett is such a jaded fellow.  He keeps everyone at a distance, even when he obviously needs someone to be close.  Luckily, Astaire fights to see the good in him, his gooey center as she says.  The family dynamic that Bennett has is absolutely dysfunctional and to have him turn out the way that he did was a miracle in itself.

The side stories, the secrets, the lies and the love that grows between Alastair and Bennett will keep you enthralled and turning pages until the very end!!

My Review…

One of the best things about an Ava Harrison book is you never see what’s coming!

This is the story of Willow and Jaxson.

Willow is running for her life.  I love how Ms. Harrison doesn’t just come out and who and why she is running, but you can feel the terror and the need to flee that Willow has.  You can empathize with her need to get away and start somewhere new and try to find a way to justice.  A chance meeting with Jaxson Pierce may be the answer to her dilemma. I admired Willow’s inner strength and her need to better herself and search for the truth.

Jaxson is so misunderstood by his family.  I was cheering hard for him. And I swooned over his need to help Willow.  I also loved how Willow was able to really “see” Jaxson and the friendship that developed.

The twists and turns in this story kept me turning the pages to see what happens next.  Ms. Harrison never fails to surprise me with her bombshells!

If you are looking for a fantastic story of friendship, love and saving yourself, look no further than this story!

CROSSING THE LINE

By Kendall Ryan

Release Day: January 2020

About the Book

Hello, rock?
Meet hard place.

Recovering from a pulled groin muscle isn’t exactly how I planned to spend my much-needed summer vacation.

But I’ll admit, being nursed back to health by my gorgeous friend Bailey, who’s just graduated from medical school, doesn’t exactly sound like a hardship.

We spend a week together at my family’s beach house, a week of swimming and barbecues, a week of entertaining my little cousins and sleeping right across the hall from each other. A week of watching Bailey grow closer with my mom and sisters, and my wacky but lovable grandma. A week of enjoying Bailey tending to me—which is saying something, because it involves a lot of shoving ice packs into my underwear and taping up sore muscles.

She’s funny and kind, and after just being myself for the first time in a long time, my walls come tumbling down. But when Bailey says she’s not looking for a relationship, I’m bound and determined to be more than just the fun hookup who sprained his groin a second time—this time with her.

My Review…

Hot Jocks 4

Oh I am so loving this series by Kendall Ryan!! If you are looking for a fun, swoony and steamy sports romance, look no further!

This is the quick-paced story of Asher and Bailey.

Asher is the tough center of the Ice Hawks hockey team.  He plays hard and goes strong until he gets what he wants.

Bailey is the friend, she is going places and has big, bright future ahead of her.

When Asher and Bailey spend a week together, sparks fly!

I love how underneath the tough exterior Asher is a big softie, he embraces his feelings and doesn’t apologize for showing them. I also admire how he understands that Bailey doesn’t need him to complete her.  He wants to be her dessert!

The world that Ms. Ryan has created is fresh, funny and full of heart and heat!! I cannot wait for the next story in this series!! Landon & Aubree are gonna be epic!

See My Review for this #mustread Here!!

“This is a series I urge every single person to read. It’s so unique and artistic and has me hanging off of every word.”

Excerpt:

“Did I pass?” Rain asks as I stop at the bottom of the tree house ladder to give her a hand up.

“I think I’m the one who passed.” I give her a swat on the ass as she heads up and chuckle when she yelps in surprise. “I know your song.”

“Oh, really?”

When I climb in behind her, Rain is sitting, facing me with her arms folded over her chest.

For a guy who has nothing to prove, I fucking love proving myself to this girl.

I sit with my back against the plywood wall and strum something softer and slower and definitely sadder than anything I’ve played for her before. I’m afraid it might be too much, considering how far she’s come today, but fuck it. It’s the truth, and right now, the truth—and this guitar—is all I got.

“I think you might be a Paramore girl.”

The simple, soulful melody is synchronized with every beat of my own bleeding heart as I open my mouth and sing the first line.

About a girl watching her daddy cry.

Rain clutches the blanket to her chest and listens as I tell her the story of a woman who’s afraid to get hurt after watching her parents break each other’s hearts. She tries to protect herself. She tries to avoid the pain of being left. But when she finally falls in love, she realizes that it’s worth the risk.

I hope she’s fucking right.

I can’t really see Rain’s expression in the dark, but as I let the final note fade out, I know I’m going to find tears before I even reach for her face.

“How did you do that?” She sniffles, and when she leans into my touch, I know I got her.

I shrug. “When you’re in the system, you get good at figuring people out.”

She inhales deeply and sighs. “So, what’s the name of my new favorite song?”

I place the guitar in the corner and crawl over to her. Laying her down, I take the wadded-up blanket out of her arms and set it behind her head like a pillow. “‘The Only Exception.’”

Gazing down at her, I know now that that’s exactly what she is for me. The only exception to all of my rules.

No getting attached.

Leave before you get left.

Supplies. Shelter. Self-defense.

Survival above all else.

Now, they’ve all been crossed out with a giant X, and next to them, in murderous block letters, are the words Protect Rainbow Williams. That’s all I fucking care about now. Keeping her safe. Keeping her—period.

“Wes?” she asks, her voice small and shaky as she slides her fingers into my hair and pushes it away from my face. “Will you still be here when I wake up?”

Bracing myself on my forearms, I lower myself onto her soft, warm body and press my lips to hers. Blood explodes through my veins on contact, but I don’t move. I hold that kiss until I feel her relax beneath me. Until I know she’ll believe me when I finally promise, “Forever.”

Satisfied, Rain pulls my face back down to hers and kisses me like forever might actually exist. Slowly. Sweetly. Without the ticking clock of April 23 looming over our heads. Without blood on our hands or ash in our hair. Without wonder or worry about how it will end. Because we started at the fucking end.

Now, we get to begin.

I’ve roped Jules, my sweet as pie next door neighbor, to help me track her
down. There’s only one problem—I’m falling for her. The tortoise shell glasses, out
of this world curves and delicious treats are making the search for The Letter
Girl even harder.

My notes were supposed to be a one time thing. A little too much wine and
naughty thoughts on a winter’s night. I never thought Berk would write back. I
wanted to tell him it was me, but the fear of rejection kept my lips sealed.

Now he’s enlisted my help to track down The Letter Girl and our search has him
hot on my, ahem, her trail.

She’s the girl next door.

He’s my secret pen pal.

Truth is on a collision course with their hearts and it’s only a matter of time
before one of them gets wrecked…

Excerpt
How can you lose someone you’ve never met? The
Letter Girl
had careened into my life like a damn smash and grab pro
and wormed her way into my heart before I knew what happened.
She was everything I’d ever wanted in a girl. Hot as hell.
Smart and caring. The slow slide of the notes from X-rated to something more
caught me off guard, but she became someone I could talk to. Someone I could
share parts of myself that I didn’t share with other people. Even if she didn’t
know everything about my past, she knew more than most.
No one wanted to be sexy pen pals with a former foster kid
with almost no one in the whole world. Nah, that was for the college senior,
soon to be pro athlete.
Don’t ever let anyone see things bother you; I learned that
in foster home number four. If everything’s a joke, there’s nothing they can do
to hurt you, but losing TLG when I thought I’d finally found
someone who knew me for me and actually gave a shit? That hurt. It was an
unexpected squeeze on my heart every so often that made it hard to breathe.
Jules slid her hand closer, herky-jerky like she was in a
stop motion animation movie before it finally landed on top of mine with a
gentle pat. “Is it really that important for you to find her?”
I shrugged. “Maybe not. She probably got tired of trying to
figure out my fucking chicken scratch.” I forced out a laugh through the
tightness in my chest.
“Once the season starts things will be crazy for you,
right?”
“You’re right. I guess I’m fixating because not much else is
going on.” No, this would always be a question I needed answered. Who is TLG and
did all the things we’d written about mean as much to her as they meant to me?

I hate the lies you tell.
For as long as I can remember, everything in my world has been fake. The happy nuclear family. The loving parents. The close father-son relationship. The respectable
family business. All lies. I’ve had it with the pretense and the show, but I’m been trapped on a dizzying merry-go-round of deception, and I can’t get off.
So when she’s thrown unexpectedly into my path, and I discover she’s just another fake, I need to make her pay. Little do I know, the deceit runs deeper than I imagined, and nothing is as it seems.
Kik
I tell the lies I hate.
I hate the lies and the pretense, but if I ‘m going to achieve what I want in life,
they’re a necessary evil. Truth is, I’ve mostly made peace with the idea. What
I’m doing is a means to an end, and the end definitely justifies the means.
Besides, it’s not forever—nothing ever is.
Everybody has to do what they have to do, right? I can live with that. Kinda. Sorta.
Maybe. At least I can until he comes bursting into my life, and is determined
to tear down everything I’ve worked so hard to build.

“Kiss me again.”
She hesitated a moment, searching my face. I stared back, unblinking. If she was hoping to see anything other than pure naked desire, she was looking in the wrong place, as her expressive brown eyes met mine. The moments ticked by like a thousand eternities, and as much as I wanted to skip to the part where I got what I craved, I held my nerve and waited.
She blinked slowly, before rising onto her knees, leaning forward, and pressing her lips hesitantly to mine. Her kiss was whisper soft, and if it wasn’t for the fact that I could see her with my own eyes, and was touching her with my own hands—without even realizing it, I’d gripped her thighs, and was squeezing them gently—I could have believed I’d imagined it. As it was, with the way she was looking at me as she made up her mind, she seemed like a dream.
She reached out to grab the back of the couch, arms either side of my head, and kissed me like she meant it. I returned the favor, tilting my body a little so that I could push my lips up to hers, hard and fast. At the same time, I moved my hands from her thighs, and looped them around her neck, linking my fingers.
My sense of the world altered as the kiss intensified. As we licked, sucked, nibbled, and bit, every fiber of my body became attuned to hers. I allowed my heavy eyelids to fall closed, but even so, I saw her face in my mind’s eye. I could feel, smell, taste, and hear nothing… but her. We kissed until I was on the verge of losing my mind—the vision of Kik being gradually obscured by a black cloud of burning desire.
Just as I was trying to fathom how to maneuver her right where I wanted her without doing myself further damage, she did the honors, bracing herself on the back of the couch then lifting her butt, and lowering it again onto my waiting, straining dick. Sweet baby Jesus.
I tilted my hips even more, intensifying the pressure. I wanted her so bad, my dick threatened to tear a trail through my sweats as she ground hard against it in a slow circular motion. I unlocked my hands from around the back of her neck, and reached into my pants pocket. When I drew it back out, palm upturned, she pulled her lips away from mine to see what I was holding. She nodded toward the condom.
“I don’t even want to talk about the level of presumption here.” That made two of us.
“Me neither. I just want to fuck you like nothing else matters.”
