Ashes & Embers Book 6

I have been waiting for this story since I first read about Asher, way back in the day! Now this can totally be read as a standalone and please don’t be discouraged by the series number of this! I am telling you right now….READ THIS!

Asher is Asher and Ember’s story, their long history, their love that encompasses and brings them strength, through the good times and the bad.

This novel is going to put your heart in a blender set on frappe.  I felt all the emotions in this book.  In fact I had to put down my kindle because I was afraid my tears (a full-fledged ugly cry) was going to short it out. I would catch myself laughing out loud, and I fell in love hard with both Asher and Ember.

This story is about learning to love again and the magic that happens when two soul mates go through tragedy. To look to a new future, to try to let the past go and be in the now.

Ms. Cole has an absolute magical writing style, she brings the reader into the world she creates and makes you feel like your part of the story.  You become invested in the outcome of her characters, you will laugh, cry, and cheer them on like they were your own family and friends.

This is definitely in the running for my “Best Reads of 2020”. Well done!

Park Ranger #2

I am so in awe of this series from Daisy Prescott.  The world she creates within the Smartypants Romance arena is so on point and relevant.

This is the story of Daphne and Odin.

Both characters have a shaky past and I admire the quirkiness of both of them. I admired the courage of Daphne and her innocence in discovering her new world.

Odin is an enigma! It was a delight to find out more about his history and the way he became the character he is today.

The chemistry between Odin and Daphne is both swoony and funny.  I loved the humor and the situations that both Daphne and Odin find themselves in throughout the story.

It was also fun to see past characters make an appearance and how seamlessly they wove into the fabric of Green Valley and all of its inhabitants.  I cannot wait to see what comes next from Ms. Prescott.

Arrowwood Brothers

Oh the angst, the beautiful angst in this story! It was phenomenal.

This is Declan and Sydney’s story and what an emotional rollercoaster it is!

The love between Declan and Sydney spans the test of time and obstacles that circumstances have thrown in front of them.

Declan has taken his role as the eldest Arrowwood brother very seriously, sometimes too seriously to the determent of his own happiness.  That is both a blessing and a curse for him.  When life brings Sydney and Declan back together, he fights with himself constantly and it made me want to shake or slap him and tell him to see the happiness right in front of him, grab it with two hands and don’t let go.

Sydney is dealing with some deep-seated insecurities from the past that she is slowly dealing with.  I admired how she stuck to her feelings and tried her best to give Declan chances to redeem himself. I loved the honesty of the feelings between Declan and Sydney.  They both were very open about their love for each other.  I was so sad when it seemed that their love just wasn’t enough.

The surprises in this book are going to make you gasp and make your heart weep. Another perfect story from Ms. Michaels and I can’t wait to see what comes from Sugarloaf next!

What a title and what a story!  Hell hath no fury indeed!

This story is about unspeakable loss, unspeakable betrayal and like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Caitlin becomes her own hero and strives for vengeance for her family.

This story is filled with mystery and intrigue, it has a kick-a$$ heroine and a dark and dreamy hero.

Come into the world with shades of gray, no black and white and the truth behind what’s write and what’s wrong.

The journey that Caitlin takes after such devastation is nothing short of a miracle.  She is strong, she is fierce and she feels like she has nothing left to lose. She is single-minded in her search for vengeance, and you are going to root and cheer her on like I did.

Hunter is a true enigma, you don’t know much about him until he meets his true match with Her. He too has had some horrible things happen to him, which in turn made him into the man he is today.  He is a dark and deadly force that you don’t want to come after you.

As always, Ms. Boldt delivers a fresh story with intriguing characters and tons of action, suspense and heat!  Well done!
