“You want me to propose to you?” With muscles tense and tight, she stared at me before crossing the room to me in two strides.

“It’ll make a wonderful story to tell if anyone asks. Or we can call the whole thing off and confess, but you’re the one who led us down this path with the relationship talk. Kathleen would probably kick us off the project. Or maybe just you.”

Her gaze narrowed. “Just when I think you’re not a complete asshole. Fine.” The word shot out like a nail gun. Covering her mouth, she mumbled into her hand. “Will you pretend to be my fake fiancé for the next thirty days?”

I cupped my hand around my ear. “That wasn’t exactly romantic and you’re not even on bended knee. Boyz II Men would be disappointed.” I dangled the ring in front of her.

She squeezed her forehead and snatched it out of my hand.

I braced myself for her to fling it straight into my face, but she didn’t. Hiking up the skirt of her suit an inch, she lowered herself to the floor with her gaze trained on mine. The intensity of her emerald gaze sent my blood thrumming through my veins. Her thick eyelashes framed her eyes and the ill wishes she was trying to sear into my brain.

But damn if her sinking to her knees in front of me didn’t flash me into a whole different set of circumstances with her where she wasn’t wishing me dead and I wasn’t trying to steal this project out from under her.

“Leo Charles Wilder, will you please agree to be my fake fiancé for the next thirty days and make me the most miserable woman on earth?” She held out the ring in her palm.

I tapped my finger against my lips and stared up at the ceiling. “When you put it like that…”

SWANK #1

A new series from Maya Hughes!! It’s like Christmas in July!

This is the beginning of what is going to be a fun, frisky, and swoony new series.

This is the story of Leo and Zara.  Two competing souls, two totally different reasons, and one helluva fake fiance story.

Leo thinks because of his retirement from football, because of an injury, he seems aimless and wandering on what he is going to do next in his life.  When he helps out his uncle’s business, well he gets much more than he bargains for.

Zara is struggling, she is in a craptacular job, but it pays the bills and keeps her brother taken care of.  When what seems like a prime opportunity to show her stuff and get a bonus to boot, she wants to excel.  If only Leo wasn’t in her way.

I loved the dynamic between these two, I loved the push and pull between them.  It was a thin line between love and hate between Leo and Zara and it was lovely to see them fall.

A stellar group of secondary characters rounds out this story beautifully and I can’t wait to see more from this crew!!

Ms. Hart never fails to amaze me with her writing talent!

This is the start of a decadent, glamorous new series!

Bright Young Things introduces the readers to a fabulous cast of characters.  Each and everyone are amazing in their own ways!

This first story centers around Stella and Levi.  Their stars aligned and the sparks flew when they met.

Stella is wrapped up in her friends and the Bright Young Things.  It is her whole world and she sparkles amongst them.

Levi is a down to earth with a heart of gold.  His job requires him to be a storyteller and a bit mysterious with his background.

From speakeasies to circus tents to disco chickens, Ms Hart takes the readers on a magical ride that is so vivid and lush you can’t help but want to be a part of the world she has created! The realism in this story is just epic. Trust and truths are pushed and tested throughout this story and I could empathize hard with both Levi and Stella.  What they both went through and the lines that had become blurred broke my heart and put it back whole again.

I cannot wait for the next book in this series! Well done Ms. Hart!

Solving for Pie: Cletus and Jenn Mystery Series

Oh my me!! A new spin-off series from Penny Reid!! Be still my racing heart!

I absolutely love the relationship between Cletus and Jenn.  They are truly two souls meant for each other.

This story takes the readers on a bit of a mystery, with some laughs and crazy escapades, true Ms. Reid gold! Even when the scene is tense and riveting, Ms. Reid is able to take the reader by the hand and lead them through it safely.

Who is behind the chick-tastrophe? Who is out to put a bee in Jenn’s bonnet? Will the love between Cletus and Jenn survive?  All of these questions will be answered and more! You get a heaping spoonful of Winston family goodness in this lovely tale.

Ms. Reid has magic to her words and the town she has created in Green Valley.  I so want to visit. Her words are so descriptive, but not overly so.  It gives the readers enough to be able to picture the town and all of its quirky residents.

Cletus and Jenn’s love for each other makes me swoon, makes me melt, and makes me believe there is a soul mate out there for everybody.

Well done Ms. Reid, I cannot wait to see what mystery and mayhem await for Jenn and Cletus next!

What a welcome back to the writing of the incredible Ms. Cranford.

I know I have been waiting (sometimes not so patiently) for another gem of a story and she doesn’t fail to shine again with this lovely story of Rowan and Lenny.

This story started as an audio story for Read Me Romance and then Ms. Cranford got to add even more awesomeness to this sweet, steamy, insta-love kind of story.

A chance meeting at an amusement park, when Rowan and Lenny meet you can almost hear the “click” of their souls connecting.  Sometimes time and space don’t matter. When you know, you know! Lenny with her anxiety and Rowan with his patience and admiration for his Challenger was so swoony to read! It made my heart melt!

Ms. Cranford has such a way of bringing the reader into the story, she breaks the third wall and really feel the characters actually talking to you, the reader.

This is a quick-paced story that I couldn’t put down until the very end.  I cannot wait to read Willa’s story in the future!

Jolie is the quintessential rich, party girl. A lover of daring do’s and living life to the fullest.  But is this her true nature? Or is that just a cover she shows to the world because of fear?
