She’s his little sister’s best friend—totally off limits. But then again, this tattooed bad boy has never followed the rules.
Maddie:
I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t in love with Nathan Burns. We met when I was six and twenty years later, I love him still. But he’ll never see me as anything other than his little sister’s best friend—a pest—if he even thinks of me that much. I’ve got to face facts. He’s not into me. He’ll never be into me.
It’s beyond time to move on.
Nathan:
I swear I blinked and my little sister’s best friend—a woman who’s about as off-limits as it can get—grew up. And she’s hot as hell. When did that happen? It doesn’t help that she’s everywhere now—at our weekly family dinner nights, sleeping on my brother’s couch next door, lying out in our complex’s swimming pool in a barely-there bikini. And who are these losers hanging around her lately? None of them are worthy of the woman she’s become. Then again, neither am I.
And when I stumble across her profile on a hook up app, all bets are off.
To say I wasn’t in a great mood would be an understatement. I went to bed pissed off at my brothers, the production company, and most of the world—and woke up the same way. If not worse.
Although the honey sunning at the side of the pool was a pleasant distraction.
Hello, hottie.
I couldn’t see her face—she was on her stomach with her head turned away from the building, but her body was banging—curvy and plump in that way that got me hard with just one look. Her dark chocolate hair was up in one of those messy buns girls liked to do to keep their hair out of their face. It was easy to imagine it coming down her back in a luscious curtain. And me holding it in a fist as I knelt behind her…
Fuck.
I hadn’t met whoever had moved into the end unit, but it was past time that I introduce myself.
Ducking inside, I stripped down, pulled on board shorts and my favorite pair of flip flops. After grabbing a towel, some book Sabrina had been nagging me to read, and a pair of sunglasses, I shut and locked my door behind me and made for the pool.
I didn’t have any kind of a plan. Didn’t know what I was going to say. Or do. I figured I’d just wing it.
Reaching the condo’s pool, I tossed my stuff on a lounger. Ms. Hottie was in the same place, only now her head was turned the other way, so I still couldn’t see her face. From all appearances, and despite the book next to her, she was sleeping.
I didn’t want to look like the creeper I was clearly being, so I did the only thing I could think of.
I jumped in.
Diving into the deep end, I started swimming laps. My arms and legs moving in a comfortable rhythm. Soothing. After the second lap, I forgot about the beautiful girl I wanted to talk to. After about the fifth lap, I forgot my anger with my brothers. After the tenth, I forgot about my rage against our producer, James. After my twentieth lap, my stomach started growling.
Damn, I was hungry.
Resting my arms against the edge, I panted a little and took a break. My stomach growled again. Or maybe I was done. I needed breakfast.
“I didn’t know you kept up with your swimming,” Maddie’s voice sounded from my left.
I turned my head and because of the quick glimpse of her I got, I lost my grip. I plunged back into the pool with a splash, water invading my lungs.
Ms. Hottie was Maddie.
Maddie.
As in my little sister’s best friend, Maddie.
The revelation looped in my brain as I fought back to the surface. Breaking through, I coughed as I tried to breathe again. I pulled myself up onto deck, splayed out on my belly. But I didn’t stay there long.
Hands pulled against torso, urging me to my side. I blinked, and Maddie’s face came into focus as she hovered worriedly above me.
“Oh my god. Are you okay? Did you hit your head or something?”
I tried to scoff, but it came out a rough cough and forced more liquid outta me.
“Let’s get you into the recovery position. Hand under your head and this leg bent.”
My eyes crossed as Maddie leaned over me, her plump breasts straining against her itty-bitty bikini and only centimeters from my mouth.
When the hell did little Maddie Roberts get a body like that?
Christ, how had I missed all of this?
“Nathan? Nathan, are you okay? Oh god. I’m just gonna run in and grab Hope. She’s taken some first aid classes for the Boys and Girls Club. She’ll know what to do.”
The panic in her voice snapped me out of my haze. “Maddie, I’m fine.”
My wheezing breaths belied my words, but I’d stopped her from racing away.
Although, given the way her tits bounced with only a few steps, I was kinda sad when she stopped moving.
Fuck, what was wrong with me? This was my little sister’s best friend. Maddie firmly belonged in the friend zone. No matter how little her bikini was and how deliciously she filled it out.
Friend. Zone.
Right, my dick mocked as it pressed against my board shorts. I’d like to get friendly with her.
Gillian has a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering but prefers to spend her time on happily ever after. She writes the kind of stories she loves to read—the hotter the better!
When Gillian’s not pounding away on the keyboard, she can be found surfing the couch indulging in her latest reality tv fixation, baking something ridiculously tasty (and horrible for her waist line) or snuggling with her husband.
Home is currently in the wilds of Nevada with her amazing husband, ridiculously cute kiddo, and goofy dog.
I am so enjoying this series! The brothers’ Burns are so dynamic and each has their own strengths and weaknesses.
This is the story of Nathan and Maddie.
Nathan is the pushy, no holds barred Burns brother. He wants things his way and will do whatever it takes to make it happen, even to his own detriment. He has known Maddie since childhood and has always seen her as a little sister, until one day he doesn’t and boy do the sparks fly!
Maddie has had a not-so-secret crush on Nathan since forever. When she finally realizes that Nathan will never see her any other way, she decides to move on. (Hint, she doesn’t get far….)
The chemistry between Maddie and Nathan is hotter than hot! And it was fantastic to see Maddie break out of her shell and embrace her inner goddess! I love how she stood up for herself. I also enjoyed how the Love Languages played a huge part of this story!
This can be read as a stand alone and does wonderfully by itself. Do yourself a favor and read this whole series! I am so hoping for Dylan’s story next!
Eastern Lights, an all-new moving second chance romance and second book in the Compass Series from bestselling author Brittainy Cherry is available now!
I once met a man on a cold Halloween night. He dressed as a superhero, and I dressed in red. For one night, I was his break from reality, and he was the temporary fix for my broken heart.
Two years later, I was given the opportunity of a lifetime to become a senior editor at one of the biggest magazine companies in the world. The only catch? Nail an exclusive interview with New York’s finest bachelor: Connor Roe.
To the rest of the world he was becoming one of the wealthiest men in New York City. To me, he was simply my once upon a time superhero.
My job was to get an exclusive interview with New York’s hottest bachelor. Never in my life did I expect him to want an exclusive with my heart, too.
The only problem with my growing feelings for him? I was set to marry his new business partner.
About Brittainy Author Brittainy C. Cherry is an Amazon #1 bestselling author. She has been in love with words since the day she took her first breath. She graduated from Carroll University with a Bachelor Degree in Theatre Arts and a minor in Creative Writing. Her novels have been published in 18+ countries around the world. Brittainy lives in Brookfield, Wisconsin with her fur babies.
As Connor’s mom would say… oh my lanta! This story is another jewel in the writing crown of Ms. Cherry. This series is absolutely gripping.
This story of Aaliyah and Conor is going to give you all the feels. From corny humor to heartbreaking sorrow and the swoons…Oh my me, Connor has got to be one of the swooniest characters I have had the pleasure to read.
A true southern gentleman, Connor is the modern day gent. When fate brings him and Aaliyah together for one evening it’s beautiful, romantic and charming as all get out. He is a classic workaholic and has some deep lingering issues about time, death and living.
Overcoming a difficult and lonely childhood, Aaliyah is working hard to make her dreams come true, even when she trusts too much and gives too much of herself. I admired her bravery and her determination to keep healthy boundaries in place.
I loved the friendship between Red and Cap, I loved how Cap helped Red learn to love herself first before she can love somebody else. And I love how Red fought to find her dream of love, family and somebody to just stay for her.
I caught myself laughing, crying and falling in love with all the characters in this book. This is definitely in the running for one of my “Best Reads of 2021!”
Dewey Belong Together, an all-new enemies to lovers small-town romance from Ann Whynot, is LIVE EARLY on AppleBooks, Nook, Kobo, and GooglePlay!
Librarian Maxine Peters lives her life behind the scenes. By day, she’s a buttoned-up cataloguing whiz in the basement of the Green Valley Public Library. By night, she’s secretly dominating in an online role playing game as the legendary Maximus_Damage. Her in-game persona has the skills to back up the hype. But every hero has an enemy; every saga, a villain. And by her own invitation, Maximus’ arch nemesis, Wrath, has just landed in Green Valley.
Jonathan Owen is not at all who Maxine expects when she meets Wrath face to face. Eager to leave the past in the game, Jonathan takes this golden opportunity to win Maxine’s heart. There’s just one wrench in that plan: he may have, on a few occasions, acted like a bit of a jerk online. And to his puzzlement, she has taken their fun rivalry to the level of epic dislike.
When Jonathan and Maxine are unexpectedly alone for a weekend, secrets are revealed that make love hard and hatred even harder. Jonathan quickly learns fighting his own demons will take more than one elite gamer. And Maxine, who is busy rebooting her life in Green Valley, might not be up to the task.
When real life starts to override the game, can Maxine and Jonathan find a way to make it work? Or will it be game over for this player versus player adventure?
Dewey Belong Together’ is a full-length contemporary romance and can be read as a standalone. Book #7 in the Green Valley Library series, Green Valley Chronicles, Penny Reid Book Universe.
Ann Whynot has been writing stories since she was five, and always dreamed of one day being a published author. She is a voracious reader and book collector, and used book stores are her kryptonite. She also is passionate about video games, crafting, baking, laughing, and travel.
She lives with her family, dog, and two cats on the Canadian east coast, and is inspired by both the forest and sea.
This is the story of Maxine and Jonathan, otherwise known as Maximus_Damage and Wrath accordingly.
This story will really entrench you in the world of online gaming. But Ms. Whynot does this with grace and it made me as a reader appreciate not being talked down to for not knowing the lingo. You can tell this is something Ms. Whynot has a vested interest in and it shows in her writing.
I loved the evolution of Jonathan and Maxine. The long lasting love/hate relationship. The upheaval of Jonathan’s feelings for Maximus and the turmoil it created. The way that Maxine was able to break out of the shell she created around herself. So well done.
I also admired the way that Ms. Whynot tackled the subject of mental disorders. I can empathize with what both Maxine and Jonathan go through.
As always, I love being submerged into the world of Green Valley and the Penny Reid universe. Ms. Whynot’s story seamlessly blends into the world created by Ms Reid perfectly!
Levi Walker never expected to be a single father at thirty-four. Then again, there were several things he hadn’t anticipated like a life-altering situation in the military or a certain girl, who was now a woman, standing before him again. Memories of her haunted his dreams and kept him alive on more than one occasion. From an accidental kiss when she was too young to an intentional one when she was old enough, Levi hasn’t been able to forget her.
Katie Carter has grown up confident and successful despite her early childhood. At twenty-seven, she has everything she could have asked for except two things – love and marriage. She’s always been a bit of a dreamer and there’s one man in particular who has filled her fantasies for years. When she’s reunited with him, some embarrassing moments resurface and the heart remembers innocent feelings that might lead to more as grown adults.
It’s a family celebration that brings Levi Walker (Read With Your Heart) and Katie Carter (Speak From The Heart) back to Elk Lake City, igniting old memories and sizzling new attractions between friends who grew up together.
The Heart Remembers is a standalone spin-off novella from the Heart Collection, joining aged children in a second chance reunion.
** Previously published as The History in Us. Now, a completely new story for two beloved characters.
My Review...
I have always loved the characters that Ms. Dunbar has created. This story makes me love her characters even more.
I absolutely loved The Heart Collection.
So reading this story and seeing characters from her past come back to visit was amazing!
A family reunion brings everyone back home! Including Katie and Levi. They have a complicated past and a lifelong crush from Katie.
Levi has scars from his past, both physical and mental. I was able to completely empathize with him. My husband is a wounded vet and I was so impressed by Ms. Dunbar’s realism with Levi. He has known Katie since she was a little girl and leaves for the military with her waiting for her hero. When he comes home years later he sees that Katie is a little girl no more, she has grown and become a woman that he can see a future with.
Katie has loved Levi since she was a little girl. Levi has always pushed her away because of her age, even with a few hiccups along the way. But Katie has always had a piece of her heart saved just for Levi.
Their chemistry is breathtaking and I loved the push and pull between the two of them and the love for each other bled through the pages.
I have always said that Ms. Dunbar is the queen of over 40 romances and even though Levi and Katie are a bit younger, they still resonate beautifully with me.
Today I have the blog tour for AUDREY’S INN by Elle Aycart! Check it out and be sure to order your copy today!
Title: Audrey’s Inn
Author: Elle Aycart
Genre: Contemporary Romance
About Audrey’s Inn:
Audrey Fleming never had much of a family or place to call home, so when she gets the chance to buy an inn that once belonged to her late namesake, she doesn’t think twice. Never mind her lack of funds, connections, and experience. Besides, she’s out of options and Alden seems like the ideal place to lie low for a good long while.
Connor Stonewell, beloved grandson of Greta, OG extraordinaire, was once one of Alden’s Golden Boys. Now he’s a hot mess. He’d never envisioned a future where he wasn’t in the military, so getting discharged after a mission gone horribly wrong has left him adrift in the civilian world.
He’s too dangerous to be around his fellow soldiers—never mind a certain sweet, sexy innkeeper he can’t seem to stay away from. He should stop playing with fire. Pack his shit and disappear for good. Too bad he can’t do it. Walking away from Audrey is something every fiber of his being refuses to do.
Their secrets will sooner or later catch up with them. Audrey and Connor both know it. But whether they’ll survive or crash and burn under the weight of revelation is anybody’s guess.
After a colorful array of jobs all over Europe ranging from translator to chocolatier to travel agent to sushi chef to flight dispatcher, Elle Aycart is certain of one thing and one thing only: aside from writing romances, she has abso-frigging-lutely no clue what she wants to do when she grows up. Not that it stops her from trying all sorts of crazy stuff. While she is probably now thinking of a new profession, her head never stops churning new plots for her romances. She lives currently in Barcelona, Spain, with her husband and two daughters, although who knows, in no time she could be living at the Arctic Circle in Finland, breeding reindeer.
What a bittersweet ending to a fantastically funny and steamy series by Ms. Aycart.
This is the story of Connor and Audrey, or is it? You are going on a bit of a thrill ride with this story, just like riding sidecar with the OGs!
Connor has been battle-tested and scarred beyond measure. He has come back home to defend his grandma and to try to heal as best he can. He is unhopeful in his recovery and has no clue on what he is going to do with himself.
Audrey has come home to realize a dream that she had shared with her roommate. She has come home to re-open the B&B that grandma Audrey had started back in the day. She has put her heart and soul into the place. Audrey’s Inn has become her refuge and safe place.
When Connor and Audrey meet, sparks fly and Connor is afraid of himself around her and tries hard to keep his distance. Audrey is the calm to his chaos, the shelter in the storm of his mind.
This story grabbed me from the get-go and didn’t let go until the beautiful end. There are twists and turn, a bit of a thriller, and oh my me the smexiness between Connor and Audrey was so wickedly hot, I thought my e-reader would melt!
This is a series I can totally see myself re-reading again and again!! Well done!
“Steal My Magnolia is more than a love story. It’s a beautifully crafted journey of life full of obstacles but a journey worth the travel with the right person.” –Author Andrea Johnston
Steal My Magnolia, an all-new heartwarming small-town romance from Karla Sorensen, is now available in Kindle Unlimited!
Life lesson from Grady Buchanan: If you’re going to fall in love with the untouchable girl in town, don’t hire her as your only employee.
Even after he bungled the interview with Magnolia MacIntyre, he knew better than to hire her. The list of why it’s a bad idea is a long one.
Her father could ruin his fledgling business.
She is completely overqualified.
And he’s attracted to her.
What does Grady do? He offers her the job.
Magnolia knew better than to take it. Normally, she’d make the safe choice, and working for Grady is anything but.
He’s new in town–and entirely too charming.
Her dad will be furious.
She hates the outdoors and working for an outdoor adventure company is not exactly the right fit.
What does she do? She says yes on the spot.
Grady and Magnolia will have to prove to everyone in their life that they’re not crazy. And prove to each other that the list of why it’s a bad idea should be tossed out the window.
For these two opposites, sometimes doing the wrong thing is exactly right.
‘Steal My Magnolia’ is a full-length contemporary romance and can be read as a standalone. Book #3 in the Love At First Sight series, Green Valley Chronicles, Penny Reid Book Universe.
Karla Sorensen has been an avid reader her entire life, preferring stories with a happily-ever-after over just about any other kind. And considering she has an entire line item in her budget for books, she realized it might just be cheaper to write her own stories. It doesn’t take much to keep her happy…a book, a really big glass of wine, and at least thirty minutes of complete silence every day. She still keeps her toes in the world of health care marketing, where she made her living pre-babies. Now she stays home, writing and mommy-ing full time (this translates to almost every day being a ‘pajama day’ at the Sorensen household…don’t judge). She lives in West Michigan with her husband, two exceptionally adorable sons and big, shaggy rescue dog.
I am so enamored by this world that Ms. Sorensen has created in the Green Valley world! Her stories flow so seamlessly into the world that Penny Reid has created and created her own corner of Green Valley that I love just as much!
This is the story of Grady and Magnolia. There is awkwardness aplenty and when the curse strike Grady, well he just doesn’t know what to do!
Magnolia is a southern belle, she was raised on etiquette classes. She was born and bred to be a lady. She knew her place that her family has plotted for her and for the longest time, she did what she was told. When a huge shakeup happens in her world, she realizes just how “go with the flow” she has been doing and she wants to be done. I love her character, her inner strength and her outer beauty. She is a beautiful soul.
Grady is full of big hopes and dreams, he has a million ideas and just doesn’t know how to sort everything out. His organization skills are not pretty and he needs help! When he unknowingly hires Magnolia to help his fledgling business, well the curse strikes him hard! He knows that there is a complicated history between his twin sister and Magnolia, but his heart wants her and he is overwhelming swoony in the way he goes about trying to work everything out.
I could so empathize with both Grady and Magnolia about the trickiness of their situation and their developing relationship. And reading Grady’s honesty and forthrightness was both swoony and scary.
I absolutely loved this story and I cannot wait to see the next story in this series!
He’s doing everything to convince me that I don’t need a man. After all, I have him.

Claudia is an award-winning, USA Today bestselling author.
She writes alluring, thrilling stories about complicated women and the men who take their breath away. She lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband and her youngest two children.
She has a sweet Bichon, Macey, who thinks she’s the ruler of the house. She’s only partially right.
When Claudia is not writing, you can find her reading, knitting, or just hanging out with her family. At night, she likes to binge-watch shows with her equally geeky husband.
This next story in this series, whew! This is the best one so far! This is the story of Beacon and Grace.
Beacon Aldridge, the youngest of the brothers Aldridge. He has many surprises up his sleeve and oh what a life he leads! I was truly surprised and amazed by him. He is swoony, he is smart and he is a rock legend. His love for Grace knows no limits. He will do anything for her, even if she doesn’t know it.
Grace is absolutely lovely, with a lethal touch! She is a cellist and loves to make music with her best friend Beacon. Her love life needs a boost so she creates a list (you’re gonna love Beacon’s reaction to it!) and enlists Beacon’s help to get through it.
These two have a soul connecting love that bleeds from the pages. I loved Beacon’s tenacity and I admired Grace’s understanding and patience. They are truly best friends and when they decided to make it more, the fireworks spark! Their chemistry is one for the ages! She is the calm to his chaos.
This series just gets better and better and I cannot wait to see Mills story soon!
I guess you could say I was a damsel in distress, and he was my knight in shining armor.
But more accurately, I was a girl with a lot of bad luck, and he was a guy with a lot of muscles and tattoos.
Jude “Lucky” Lucketti wasn’t just a sexy, brooding construction worker. He was my own personal hero who seemed to be in all the right places at the right times. Like when my car broke down and I needed a ride home, and when I face planted on the sidewalk right in front of him and had to be taken to the emergency room.
Those weren’t exactly my best moments, but they were his.
We became friends, and it didn’t matter that he was sixteen years older than me. We had a lot in common—like our love of old rock music and vintage fast cars, and our aversion to relationships.
When he approached me with a crazy idea to help me out, I couldn’t say no.
The arrangement was supposed to be temporary. A marriage on paper and nothing else.
It should’ve been easy, but it wasn’t.
Because here I am, eighteen years-old, still in high school, and married to a man I was never supposed to fall in love with.
We had just one rule—no kissing the bride.
But we broke that rule, and it sealed our fate forever.
Carian Cole has a passion for the bad boys, those covered in tattoos, sexy smirks, ripped jeans, fast cars, motorcycles, and of course, the sweet girls who try to tame them and win their hearts.
Born and raised a Jersey girl, Carian now resides in beautiful New Hampshire with her husband and their multitude of furry pets. She spends most of her time writing, reading, and vacuuming.
Every time I open a book from Ms. Cole, I know I am going to be both impressed and infatuated by the characters and stories she creates.
This story is no exception!
I am honestly going to say that I am not a huge fan of the age-gap trope, but I took the chance on one of my favorite authors and it paid off in spades!
This is the twisty story of Jude and Skylar.
Skylar may be young in age, but she has an old soul and has experiences in her young life that has made her have to grow up quickly. Her heartbreaking early childhood, that Ms. Cole does a moving job in describing, has molded Skylar into the young adult that she is now. She has emotional and mental scars aplenty, but that doesn’t stop her from dreaming of a better life and a way to escape.
Enter Jude, a swoony hero in the extreme. He is older, but sometimes not wiser fella that hones his hero complex when he sees Skylar. He fights his feeling for her and worries about the stigma attached to him and Skylar.
This story is going to move you. It’s going to make you feel all the feels! The unbelievable writing talent of Ms. Cole shines through in this story about love knowing no bounds and soul mates are truly special!
𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞 is the explosive conclusion in The Ravenhood Trilogy from best-selling author, Kate Stewart, is live!
This trilogy is of a modern day take on Robin Hood, but with more Fast and Furious/Fight Club vibes. It’s an unconventional love story—#𝐁𝐀𝐃𝐁𝐎𝐘𝐒#𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐎𝐄𝐒—filled with 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞, hella 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦, major 𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬, a little 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, and 𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐎𝐅𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐅𝐄𝐄𝐋𝐒!
**All books in the The Ravenhood Trilogy must be read in order.
Purchase the series here! #𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 to read in #𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐔𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝
I’ve lived the entirety of my life wrapped up in subterfuge for one purpose—revenge.
Through the years, I lived more as an enigma than a man.
For so long, I denied I had a beating heart of my own.
Until her. Until she unearthed the starving vessel inside, forced me to acknowledge it, forced me to understand that I’m capable of bleeding the same as any other.
For that, we paid. We’re still paying.
Yet, she demands it still, the useless heart of the ruthless thief and shameless villain she fell for. My fear is, I’m no longer that man.
With the lies I’ve told, the life I’ve led, my mistakes are beginning to catch up with me, day by day, one by one.
This is my last chance, and I have no intention of losing her again, but as the deception of my past starts to unravel and close in, shedding my humanity may be the only thing that can save us both.
When I heard that the talented Ms. Stewart was going to give us more of the characters from the Ravenhood Duet, I knew I was in for an emotional rollercoaster. And she brought all the feels, in spades!
I am so glad she took an extended epilogue and created a beautiful, gripping story out of it. It was like a prologue and the finish line all in one.
To truly see what happens after Cecelia and Tobias meet each other again, to see the sparks fly and then to see how their relationship evolved was beautifully written and Ms. Stewart truly gives her characters the ending that was needed.
Cecelia really becomes a true queen, her character shines through and her spirit, her determination and her love for Tobias burn up the pages. I wanted to give her a standing ovation by the end of this story and she is truly a hero! I want to be her when I grow up!
We finally see what truly makes Tobias tick, why he does what he does and the sacrifices he feels he needs to make to protect those who are closest to him. I love his possessiveness, his jealousy, and I can almost hear his French accent thicken when he gets mad!
I bow down to the writing genius that is Kate Stewart! This is going to be the first book in the running for my “Best of 2021 Reads”!
Blurb: I’ve sworn off hockey players. Until the pregnancy test turns pink.
Noah Scotch is revered in Boston, a veritable god on the ice. I’m a nerdy, newly minted college professor who would rather color code my planner than hit the club scene. Noah shouldn’t look at me twice but when he does, I falter.
Who can blame me?
The sweet talker with the deliciously chiseled abs and sinful chocolate eyes is a force. On and off the ice. One hot and intense night with Noah has me second guessing my lack of a dating life.
Friends with benefits? He offers, I dive in headfirst. Growing up in a hockey family, I know better than to get serious with a player.
But the more time I spend getting to know Noah, the more my intention to keep things casual rings false.
Now, I’ve got a hopeful heart and a baby on the way.
I just need to tell Noah. But when I do, will I end up with everything I never knew I wanted? Or on my own?
About the Author: I’m Gina Azzi, a book-obsessed, coffee-drinking, globetrotting, mama of three! I write sweet with a dash of spicy New Adult and Contemporary Romance full of good men putting in work to win the hearts of even better women.
A total Jersey girl at heart, I struggle with insatiable wanderlust and currently reside in Ontario, Canada with my family. When I’m not dreaming up storylines or writing all the words, you can find me hanging with my littles, attempting to bake, or planning my next adventure.
A new series by Gina Azzi?!? Sign me up and I am so glad I did!
This is the first book in a new series based on the fictional Boston Hawks hockey team.
This is the story of Noah and Indiana.
Indiana is a gal with a plan. She has landed her dream job, moved to a new city and is looking for a fresh start. Her heart was broken in the past and she is even more focused on her career than anything else. I admire how she is trying hard to break out of the all work and no play bubble she finds herself in.
Noah is a hockey player, he is best friends with Indiana’s cousin and has grown up around Indiana’s family. Her family is the soft place for him and his brother to fall. When he sees Indiana again after a long time, well the sparks start flying.
I loved how they both seemed to be OK with the relationship they started with, but we know that it’s gonna be more. I like how Indy sets Noah back on his heels quite a few times with her no nonsense attitude.
Add a surprise pregnancy to the mix and you get a fantastic story with sweetness and just a touch of angst. The story just flows from the pages and it was hard to put down once I started.
I am so excited to see the next stories in this series!
