The Left Side of Perfect…

After reading the Blue Line duet.  I so wanted Colby to get his happily ever after.  If ever a character in the history of stories deserves a happily ever after it’s Colby.

The Left Side of Perfect is the beginning of Colby’s perfect. What I didn’t expect was the edginess that I felt when I read this.

It’s was amazing to see the growth of Colby, his maturity, his understanding and his acceptance of his world.  But now he wants more, he wants what his friends have.  He wants his soft place to fall.  Does he find it? Yes, yes he does.

But that’s not the whole story. Oh no, Ms. Quinn gives us the angst, gives us the humor and gives us all the feels.

She leaves book one with the perfect cliffhanger…what happens next? I am hoping and crossing my fingers that everybody gets their own left side of perfect…..

The Right Side of Forever…

Yes, yes, yes!!! That’s all I could say to myself as I finished this duet that was dedicated to Colby and the people in his life!

Colby gets his happily ever after.  And because he has to work hard for it, it makes it all the sweeter!

Ms. Quinn really shows her range with this duet! You know she can write perfect romantic comedies, so when she came out with with duet, along with the Blue Line Duet.  You really experience a whole new set of emotions with Ms. Quinn’s words.  The angst, the drama, the steaminess and the slight hint of humor is the absolutely perfect blend!  This duet is going in the running for my “Best of 2018” reads!

At this point, Ms. Quinn could publish her grocery list and I would gladly purchase, read and enjoy the hell out of it! She has yet to disappoint me with her writing!! Well done Meghan! Well done!!

My Review…

Whew…my heart has been through the wringer with this book.

This is a new to me author and what I love most about blogging.  Reading new stories, stories that sometimes push my comfort boundaries, but I am so glad I did.

This is the story of Jack, Corrine and Cole. This is the story of vows made and promises not kept. This is the story of how love comes in so many different and distinguished ways.

I could feel Corrine’s pain in the pages.  I could empathize with the masks she chose to wear. I applauded her fight to find herself and find the strength to make the hard choices.

Jack was a man who was used to comfort. He took advantage of what he had and demanded more and more.  He felt it was his right.  But he was oh so wrong.

Cole was a man burdened with what he wanted versus what he had.  He laid everything on the line.  He was the man that would do just about anything for the woman he loved.

This was a book I could not put down until it was finished.  It was a page turner and I was on the edge of my seat until the very end.  Who would belong to who in the end.  Read this story and find out!

The Kane Brothers Book 2

Wowza! I am loving this series by Ms. Azzi.

Recovering Beauty is Carter Kane’s story. I like to think that the title of this book is both about Taylor’s recovery and also Carter’s recovery from the life he lead to the life he wants.

The way they initially meet is so unfortunate. Fate can be a cruel mistress. And the results leave scars on the both of them.

The chemistry between Carter and Taylor is electrifying! Carter is swoony and Taylor is a beautiful soul.

I loved and hated the twist in the story! (Hated in a good way!) I knew when that bomb dropped it was going to change things.  Just like in the first book in this series, you don’t see it coming until BAM! It really moved me when Carter believed that karma was coming back to bite him.

I enjoyed catching up with past characters, the Kane family and friends! To see what everyone was up to and what was next in their worlds.

I can’t wait to read the next story in this series! I also hope that Daisy gets a book of her own too!  I know it’s the Kane Brothers Series but the Kane sister deserves a story! Right?!?

Readers, get your hands on this book! It can totally be read as a stand alone, but to really enjoy it, read the first book Rescuing Broken!

My Review…

Another new author for me! I have had some of his previous books on my TBR list and now I really have to catch up!

Temptation is the story of Wyatt and Melina.  Childhood friends, girlfriend’s little sister. School age unrequited love.  It’s all that and so much more.

This story starts with chaos, of families intermingling, laughter and love.  Sometimes it’s just too much for Melina, she longs for the quiet.

Wyatt has always understood this and his uncanny ability to bring Melina out of her shell is beautiful.

I devoured this book overnight, I couldn’t put it down. I was charmed, I laughed at the secondary characters and I absolutely swooned over the romance between Wyatt and Melina.

I have a great respect for the male romance author! They are boldly going into a realm that is female driven and can be a bit biased. Which I think is a shame.  I loved the alternate POV’s in this story with Mr. Hawkins really bring Melina to life in an absolutely perfect way!

Well done Mr. Hawkins, you have yourself another fan! I cannot wait to read what you come out with next and I will be moving your previous books to the front of my TBR list!
