Grayson McKnight

I haven’t been having much luck on the dating scene lately, ever since my breakup with my longtime college girlfriend. I thought being twenty-five and single would be a blast, but dating apps are trash and I’ve managed to get nothing but three fake numbers at my favorite bar.

Thankfully, the actual owner of the third fake number was kind enough to reply to let me know I’d texted the wrong number. She was warm and open and expressed curiosity about the fake number I’d been given, so we got to texting. She gave me some flirting advice, so I can get a real number next time. But she was so hot when dispensing her advice, and also so kind, I saved her as Hot Teacher in my phone and mustered the courage to ask her for drinks tonight. Not to get more advice, but to persuade her to give me a shot herself. And she said yes. Well, actually, she said maybe. But I honestly think she’s coming.

Sight unseen, I’m already far more attracted to Hot Teacher than anyone I’ve met on the dating scene, so I’m going to pull out all the stops tonight, if she comes to the bar. The thing is, I might be shy and terrible at flirting, but if Hot Teacher gives me a shot, I’m pretty confident I’ll be able to surprise her behind closed doors. I’ve been studying up so diligently since my breakup, in fact, I’m pretty damned sure I’d be able to blow her beautiful mind, if only she’ll give me the chance.

Textual Relations is a steamy older woman/younger man romantic comedy that will make you laugh out loud, fan yourself, and swoon your way to Grayson and Selena’s happily ever after.

NOTE: Portions of the full-length novel, Textual Relations, originally appeared in Lauren Rowe’s much shorter novella, Wrong Number, Right Guy, that was only briefly available.

My Review...

What an absolutely pulchritudinous story!

I am a sucker for a nerdy hero, and Grayson checks all the boxes for me!

I am also a new fan of the age-gap romance, especially when it’s a younger hero, older heroine.

This is Sasha and Grayson’s story, and what a down-and-dirty, funny-as-all-get-out, and total swoonfest!

I loved the patience and persistence of Grayson, and I could empathize with Sasha’s trepidation and her need to take things in their relationship at a snail’s pace.

This is a quick read that was hard to put down once I started, which is a five-star in my world.

I cannot wait to see what Ms. Rowe gives us readers in this stellar world and the characters she has created.

Honeyed by Carrie Aarons is now live!

Growing up in a house full of brothers, it’s not a surprise that Alana Ashton is the princess of Hope Crest.

Being the only female of the small town’s founding family means that while she usually gets her way, she has to work doubly hard to earn and keep respect. Veering from her expected path to follow crazy dreams, like opening her own shop, not only isn’t in the cards, it’s also not taken seriously. So when her best friend, the ex-high school quarterback with a smile of gold and a traumatic past, proposes marriage out of the blue after years of Alana not-so-secretly pining after him, the answer isn’t an automatic no.

Marrying him, and the fortune they’ll both inherit if she specifically says I do, could be just the thing to set her vision in motion. But can she keep their decades-long relationship strictly business, or will those long unrequited feelings fool her into thinking this union will be for life?

Warren Teal is the orphan no one wanted but everyone speculated about.

After his father tragically took his mother from him, Warren’s story has been broadcast in the media for years. Cue the Ashtons, who took him under their wings the first time Alana brought him home in middle school. Years later, Hope Crest’s royal family offered him a job at their renowned restaurant, and Warren thought he’d found the quiet, under-the-radar life he’d always been searching for.

Until the day he received a letter leaving him a fortune. There was just one catch; he must marry to receive it. And not just anyone, but the gorgeous, stubborn woman he’d always loved in secret but never felt worthy of. Knowing he could return the favor and grant her wildest dreams, he popped the question.

But when his past comes for the future they’re building, she gets caught in the crossfires of the danger and darkness meant for him. Divorce, and breaking his own heart, seem like the only options to keep her safe.

Even if doing so means he may never get to confess that their fake marriage is the realest love he’s ever experienced.

My Review...

I am really enjoying getting to know the Ashton family and the town of Hope Crest.

This is the story of Alana, the princess of the Ashton family, and Warren, the childhood friend, the “adopted” Ashton brother.

The best relationships start with the best of friendships; Warren and Alana are the perfect example of this.

I loved Alana’s tenacity and her fight. She also had a vulnerability that was just as strong. How she fought for herself and for Warren was fantastic.

I wanted to shake Warren and tell him that his past doesn’t define him. His past was not his fault, and he doesn’t carry the darkness that has haunted him.

The bit of thrills and chills always brings me even closer to the characters and has me invested in their happily ever after.

It was lovely to “see” past characters make their appearances known and to be able to catch up with how their futures were bright.

I also loved the hints and crumbs that were scattered throughout for future stories.

I can’t wait to come back to Hope Crest in future stories to see what happens next with the Ashton family.

BLURB:
Love wasn’t the daily special when a grumpy small-town baker delivers a baby in his bakery. Now, all he can think about is that sweet bundle and her tempting single mother.
Having a baby in a bakery gives new meaning to taking the bun out of the oven.
I’d been in Curmudgeon Bakery for one of those lemon baby-Bundt cakes I’d been craving since I found out I was pregnant.
The draw had nothing to do with the baker himself. Tall, tatted, and edgy, looking more like a biker than a man who makes baked goods. I hardly knew him other than taking a tumble in a rainstorm in front of his shop . . . and then tossing myself at him after he rescued me.
We shared a moment but it’s not what you’d think.
Months later, he delivered my baby among his cookies and cakes. Talk about a second chance encounter.
Then he whips up a plan to pretend to be my baby’s father, and everything heats up from there.
My body.
My heart.
My willingness to accept a perfect stranger’s kindness despite him telling me over and over he isn’t who I think he is.
I beg to differ.
He’s that sugary drizzle on a citrus-flavored, guilty pleasure that’s bad for the hips, but together—him, and me, and baby—we’re the perfect blend of ingredients that might do all our hearts some good.

My Review...

Woo wee! What a start to a new series from Ms. Dunbar. Lemony tart and sugary sweet are the feelings you are gonna get with the story of Sebastian and Enya.

Sebastian is the curmudgeon at the Curmudgeon Bakery. He is an amazing baker, and his baby lemon bundt cakes are just what Enya needs in her life.

I loved the realism you get with these two characters; they are imperfect but do what they want and make no bones about it.

From the soft, squishy, huggable insides of Sebastian to the open mind and open heart of Enya you get a relationship that is both beautiful and flawed, sweet and sour, and oh my me, full of swoons and steam!

I was drawn to the air of mystery in this story, I was guessing until the very end. And the role that fate plays in this story is amazing.

Matureish characters are Ms. Dunbar’s specialty and she proves yet again she is one of the best authors I have read. What an introduction to Sterling Falls and I cannot wait to see which Sylver sibling gets their story told next!

Maximillian Vaughn:
Once I saw Marnie Long, a sassy, sultry, charismatic older woman in a bar, I couldn’t peel my eyes off her. I wanted her. At least, for one night. I’m way too busy with my career these days for anything more. As it turned out, after recently getting burned, Marnie was on the same page as me—all she wanted was one night of fun. I was happy to be of service. What I didn’t expect during our night together, however, was how deeply we connected. Also, how much I was dying to see her again the next morning.

Marnie Long:
After accepting Max’s surprising breakfast invitation the next morning, I was floating on air. Mere minutes later, though, all hell broke loose and I had no choice but to bolt out of Max’s place like my hair was on fire. It was such a pity, too. That scorching-hot patent attorney was the best I’ve ever had.

A year later, when I ran into Max at a party, I was a very bad girl and didn’t resist doing that very naughty thing. Now, thanks to my utter lack of willpower and common sense, I’ve risked my horrible secret getting out. Even worse, I’m in danger of catching real feelings for Max. Which I simply can’t do. Obviously. I’m not sure I can control what happens next, though. When I’m with Max, I feel like a runaway train, on the verge of hurtling off my tracks.

Who’s Your Daddy? is a single mother, age gap, forced proximity, standalone, unputdownable rom com that will keep you laughing, fanning yourself, and swooning, all the way to Max and Marnie’s happily ever after.

My Review...

So worth the wait!

What a spectacular story! What an amazing group of characters; what a swoony, steamy, and heartfelt read.

This is the story of Marnie and Max. First, I loved the age gap; it’s proof that love can bloom anew no matter what your age.

Marnie is a woman of the world; she is a single mom who knows what she wants, even when fate keeps throwing red flags at her.

Max is simply a man on a mission; he is so focused that he does’ t see the forest through the trees.

The twists and turns in this story will have you gasping! I know I did! I loved how Ms. Rowe was able to drop the bombs with finesse and, I believe, a bit of an evil laugh as she typed!

I cannot wait to see what comes next from this talented author. There are so many secondary characters in this story that deserve their own stories told.

My Review...

I was excited to see one of my favorite authors write in another fantastic authors world.

Ms. Hollyfield brings her voice to the world of K. Bromberg’s racing series with the perfect mix of dash, Cash and a whole lotta swoons!! (Thought I was gonna rhyme didn’t ya?)

This is the story of Cash and Luna. And what a wild ride it is.

Both characters are competitive, love the feel of a steering wheel in their hands and the need for speed. Even though they both have very different pasts, their love for racing is one of the many things that draw Luna and Cash together.

There is danger and thrills that will keep your eyes glued to the page. Ms. Hollyfield isn’t scared to show the gritty side of life and doesn’t hold any punches when she delivers it.

If you are looking for a story that seamlessly blends into the Driven world, look no further, you will find it with this story!

Synopsis

The message said, “Remember me?” But the sender was someone I’d rather forget.
Alec Mansfield haunted my memories like a cruel specter. In high school, he was my tormentor and the bane of my existence. When he wasn’t defying authority alongside my older brothers, he was sabotaging my dates and sending me “anonymous” emails signed “yours cruelly.”
Alec was merciless, an emerald-eyed devil spending his daddy’s money and wreaking havoc over our hometown of Sapphire Shores like he owned the place. But mostly, he hated that I didn’t fawn over him like all the other girls did.
It’s been ten years since he left town.
But now he’s back, working as an ER doctor at the local hospital, and in a strange twist of fate, we match on a dating app. I agree to meet up, but only because I want to tell him off for making my life a living hell all those years ago. But four cocktails, one tequila shot, and a shared Uber later, I find myself about to have scorching-hot hate sex with my sworn nemesis.
The next morning, I leave before the sun comes up, slamming the book on that chapter of my life forever.
Except a few weeks later, I discover our story has an epilogue—one that starts with two pink lines on a pregnancy test.
Turns out there are things more life-altering than hooking up with Alec Mansfield … like having his baby.
NOTE: This is a complete standalone that can be read without reading HATE MAIL first, though it’s strongly recommended if you want to avoid spoilers.

My Review...

Oooo! I was so hooked on this story. The bit of mystery, the secrets and the absolute thin line between love and hate are what I so enjoyed in this latest book by Ms. Renshaw.

This is the story of Stassi and Alec.

Alec wants to right the wrongs of his past. His tenacity and patience when interacting with Stassi is swoony to me. He has come home to Sapphire Shores with a mission, and boy, does he get things done.

Stassi is a wounded soul. All her life, she has been let down by love and people that she should have been able to trust. When a big part of her past comes back into her world, she rightfully handles it with kid gloves.

It was lovely to see past characters make their presence known. It was like a bit of a friends’ reunion, and I was all for it!

This is a fast-paced story that was hard for me to put down! Well done Ms. Renshaw!

From New York Times Bestselling Author Helena Hunting writing as H. Hunting comes a standalone Cinderella story hockey romance.

The first time I met Winter Marks, I almost took her out with my Jeep.
To be fair, she came out of nowhere.

I flirted with her, and she flipped me off and disappeared into the woods on her bike.
But she left me a souvenir: a single hockey skate.

Seemed to me that divine intervention shouldn’t be ignored.

She was my icy Cinderella and I would be her Prince Not-So-Charming.

Winter was more than just a sassy, badass hockey-playing hottie.
She’s stuck in a prison of a life. And I’m the perfect escape.

Neither of us expected to fall.
Or for the truth to shatter us.

My Review...

Wowza, talk about saving the best for last!

I was so intrigued by BJ, his flow, his coolness, and his not conforming to the norm. He was an enigma, and this book really reveals all the secrets that he holds.

This is the story of BJ and Winter.

I loved Winter; she was a protector, a shield, and a kick-a$$ hockey player. She played by her own rules. She has had a hard scrabble life, and it made her stronger for it. To see how the other half lives was an eye-opener for her, and I could empathize with her waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I have always loved the cast of characters that make up the world that Ms. Hunting has created, and seeing them all rally around both Winter and BJ gave my heart all the feels.

This story can be totally read as a stand-alone, but do yourself and your romance-loving heart a favor. Get your hands on all the stories that Ms. Hunting has created. You will be better for it!

My Review...

From the audacity of wrap skirts to curmudgeonly beautiful bridge trolls, you get it all in the newest story from Kate Canterbary.

This author is the absolute best at writing smart, sassy, and steamy stories that are the epitome of girl bosses and growly men.

Sunny is a rock star of a heroine. She doesn’t let her disorder stop her from being all that she wants to be.

Beckett is a fixer to the extreme, and when his layers are revealed, you understand why he feels the need to do so.

It’s always hard for me to find the words to exude the feelings I get when reading Ms. Canterbary’s stories. I always feel a bit more in touch with the world around me. I know it doesn’t make sense, but her writing is just amazing. You can tell she takes her time and does the research to create an amazing world and cast of characters that is Friendship, Rhode Island.

If you are new to Kate Canterbary, or like me, a fan girl from the start, you are going to love this story.

I will be waiting oh so patiently for the next Loew brother to get his story.

The One I Need, an all-new grumpy-sunshine, accidental marriage romance and standalone in the Rolling Hills series from bestselling author Chelle Sloan is available now!

You’re cordially invited to the wedding of Oliver Price and Izzy McCall…

That’s how my wedding invitations should have started. I should know, I’ve had my wedding planned since I was ten.

I should’ve been wearing a designer tuxedo, not a tuxedo t-shirt.

The wedding should’ve been in a church with family and friends, not in a 1960’s style chapel with Elvis as the officiant.

It’s nothing I ever imagined.

Except the girl.

She’s the only thing about this accidental marriage that is exactly right. Even if we’re complete opposites.

I’m glass-half-full and crazy colored socks. She’s glass-half-empty and power suits.

I love love. She thinks it doesn’t exist.

I want to stay married. She wants a divorce.

A problem for all newlyweds, right?

From the moment I met Izzy, I knew she was the only one I’d ever need.

Now I just need to convince my wife that I’m the one for her.

Welcome back to Rolling Hills!

This is the story I have been waiting for; this is Oliver and Izzy’s story.

Izzy is a girl boss! She is independent and guards her heart like the Hope diamond. Her past has left scars that help create the woman she is.

Oliver!

I think every girl should experience a man like Oliver. He is everything good, swoony, smexy, and downright goofy and I flove him! He is exactly what Izzy needs and she doesn’t even know it. I was wowed by Oliver’s tenacity in giving Izzy everything she needed.

I loved seeing all the past characters bring their humor and heart into the mix. I wish I had a friend group just like this.

Do yourself a favor and get your hands on this story.

Synopsis

In the Wakemont family, it’s tradition to arrange a marriage before the ink is dry on your birth certificate. I was five hours old when my father promised me to the son of a man with “more money than God.”

As we grew older, my future groom and I were encouraged to exchange “love letters” to get better acquainted—except the correspondence he sent read more like hate mail.

Slade Delacorte hated the arrangement.

But more than that, he hated me.

He was moody, intense, arrogant, and darkly gorgeous. A villain—not a prince. The last man on earth I’d ever marry (if I had the choice).

On my 24th birthday, we exchanged vows in front of six hundred guests who had no idea we weren’t every bit the blissful couple we pretended to be.

But as we began our new life together, I soon learned there was only one thing worse than marrying the man I’d hated my entire life: falling in love with him.

AUTHOR’S NOTE —This angsty, steamy contemporary romance is a complete standalone with a happily ever after.

My Review...

When I got this book, I was a bit worried. Usually, the arranged marriage trope sets off my inner feminist; hear me roar.

But this story, while being an arranged marriage, I still enjoyed the heck out of it.

I loved the premise, the writing of letters over the years to help Slade and Campbell get to know each other before the big day. The visits over the years and the saying a thin line between love and hate. I became enamored of the back and forth between the letters.

Campbell is the epitome of hope against all. She makes the best of the situation she finds herself in.

Slade has guarded his heart and his feelings since forever, and it was brilliant to see the change in him when he finally let himself be vulnerable.

With a bit of a thrilling twist, a bit of loss, and the hope of love, this story checked all the boxes for me as being a winner.
