My Review…

A new series by Ms. Ellis?!? Sign me up please!

This is the story of Zed and Octavia or by her better name Vivi.

Two people who at first glance seem to be polar opposites of each other.  But when you get to know them both, you see how alike they really are.

I admired Vivi’s tenacity.  I loved how her outer shell, her persona was nothing like the “real” her inside.  She is fearless and unapologetic and sassy, so, so sassy!  I also admired how she could really cover up her true feelings when needed and let everything out when warranted.  She is a spitfire and so amazing!

Zed, oh my me, this man has had the worst of situations heaped upon his shoulders at a young age and it shaped him into the man he has become!  He too has an outer shell that no one has been able to break through, until Vivi.

There are surprises aplenty in this story! I was gasping at some points and shaking my head in disbelief at others!

Ms. Ellis has really found her stride in her writing, each book getting better and better! I cannot wait to see which character she writes about next! You can believe I will be following her closely!

My Review…

This new to me author has a new fan!! That’s me!

Wicked Dance is the beginning of the story of Tom and Sara.

These are not perfect characters, they have flaws and scars and that makes them all the more believable and relatable.

Sara has a past that has haunted her.  She has changed her whole way of life because of a tragic accident.  She is quick to judgement and rash to jump to conclusions.  But this makes her human, it makes her an honest representation of human nature and the choices we make.

Tom, oh this character! I saw so much of my hubby in him.  A war vet with scars of his own.  He has built walls around his heart to keep himself and the people around him “safe”.  He is the epitome of an alpha hero! All the swoon and strength I love in a hero!

When Sara and Tom meet, the chemistry between the two of them is epic! I loved how Sara became a bit of a stalker and how Tom ran hot and cold.  I also loved the alternate POV’s! I like to be able to get into each of the main characters heads and see what makes them tick. I loved the angst, jealousy and heat between Sara and Tom! The beginning of this relationship isn’t hearts and flowers (well it is a little bit) but it’s gripping!

The secondary characters bring a richness to the story.  I can’t wait to see how the secondary story lines play out!  I could not put this story down once I started!

I loved how this story ended, it’s like it’s just the beginning and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in this series!!

Well done Ms. Boothe! You have started an amazing story with these characters!

Oh what a whimsical, fabulous story!

The Marriage Pact is a modern day fairy tale with a twist.

This is the story of Emelie and Julian.  They practically grew up together and heartbreak grew them apart.

Emelie is strong, she is brave and will do anything to help her family.  She takes her role as the oldest daughter seriously.  The twist in the story is heartbreaking and tragic and made me admire her all the more. She takes her responsibility and promises to Julian and does the best she can.

Julian is a prince, with the attitude and entitlement to match. He wants Emelie, but in what way?  Read this story and find out!

Emelie & Julian’s chemistry is magical and so swoony!

You can feel the angst and romance come alive in the pages and I couldn’t put it down till the very end!  This story is fast paced and it’s a true page turner!

Well done Ms. Renshaw!! I cannot wait to see what worlds you create next!!

In Light of Shadows Book 3

Wow! Just wow!! This is the final book in this series and what a rollercoaster ride it is!

Chapter one starts off with a bang and it about gave me heart failure!! I mean what a tease!

This story is going to keep you guessing until the end and then you are gonna be floored when you finally find out!! I know I was!

This final story in the series brings Clive and Eva’s story full circle.  They are truly made for each other and the love they have burns up the pages.

This is a fast paced read that I could not put down until the very end.  And what a lovely ending it was!

This was a fantastic debut series from Ms. Hart and I cannot wait to see what she comes out with next!

Oh I was so happy to see another story from the fabulous town of Shipwreck and Sarcasm!

Master Baker is as decadent and sweet as Grady’s doughnuts.  It’s as sassy and funny as Annika’s talents in the kitchen! (hee, hee!!)

This is Grady and Annika’s story, but it’s also so much more! I just love Ms. Grant’s secondary characters (including goats and parrots!).

Grady & Annika have a long history together.  Time and distance have separated them, but when they see each other, the same sparks fly, the same heat flows between them.

I actually blushed when reading the way Grady “talks” to his batters and doughs.  Holy hotness! Master Baker indeed!

Annika is a hero, in more ways than one! She is overwhelmed and feels she doesn’t need or deserve the help and support.  But Grady shows her just how much she really does!

Oh Pippa, you make me laugh, you make me swoon and you make me want more and more from this fictional towns and series!! Please, please, please give us more!!

The Penthouse Affair Book 2

Wow, just wow! What a lovely and satisfying conclusion of this duet!

Starts where we left on in the first book, The Two Week Arrangement. with Dominic and Presley trying to figure out their feelings for each other.

Oh how I wished to see Presley stand her ground when it came to Dominic.  But I get when you are falling for someone, you sometimes compromise yourself and your beliefs to be able to make it work.

Oh Dominic, I was glad to see him finally, finally see what was in front of him the whole time! His pride was certainly almost his downfall!

This story, like the first is fast paced and I couldn’t put it down until the end! I loved the way that Ms. Ryan finished this story with a perfect and totally understandable ending!

Readers, you won’t be disappointed with this!

Laugh out loud funny!! Swoon with sweetness and heat!! This is what you are getting from this new story from Emma Hart!

This is the story of Lauren and Mason.

The snark and saltiness of Lauren is amazing! She is what I want to be when I grow up! She gives as good as she takes and makes no apologies for it!  She has a hidden sweetness and softness that Mason is trying hard to find.

Mason is just swoon! He has been burned by past relationships but it doesn’t deter him when he gets to know Lauren and wants to know more about her.  His family is epically funny and quirky and everyone should have a family like this!

This was a fast paced, couldn’t put down till I was done story! It’s classic Emma Hart and more!  She creates magic with her words!

From Henry the cat to leather budgie smugglers (yes I had to Google that one!) You are gonna fall in love and laughter hard with this one!  Well done Ms. Hart! Well done!

I look up into his dark eyes. “This is a dangerous game of cat and mouse we’re playing.”

“More like a game of cat and bird,” he corrects.

I straighten my posture, my nipples grazing his hard chest. “And we all know how that turns out in the end. The cat eats the bird.”

Nine lightly scrapes his nails over my bare arms before pressing them into my skin. I gasp at the slight bite of pain. “No, the pretty bird swoops down from nowhere and sinks her sharp talons into the cat, marking him for life.”
