A spinoff but a totally stand-alone series starts off with a sweet and swoony story!
This is the story of Aslan and Keaton.
Aslan is part of the Spearman family and one of a set of triplets that have stepped up to help care for their younger siblings and mom after their father’s passing. He is focused on his work and depends on his VP for everything, eventually even his heart!
Keaton is Aslan’s girl Friday. She is his VP of operations and also has a full plate of taking care of her family, a family that has really treated her like an afterthought. She just wants to feel like she belongs someplace.
A fabulous and romantic tropical locale, a fake relationship…what could go wrong?
I love the flow of this story; Ms. Burgoa has a true talent not to drag a story out but make it just the right speed. I love how the relationship between Aslan and Keaton evolved, from co-workers and friends to so much more. I fell hard for Aslan; I loved his inner dialogue and how he finally has the epiphany of how much he loves and depends on Keaton in his world.
As an avid fan of Ms. Burgoa, it was lovely to see past characters make appearances. It was like an actual family reunion. I can’t wait for more from this series!
