As a huge fan of the Cloverleigh Farm series, I was so excited to see this new story of the next generation!
This is the story of Winnie and Dex, and boy did this grab me from the get-go!
Winnie is the daughter of Mac and Frannie, she is the youngest, but I felt like she had an old soul. I empathized with her problem of loving too fast, too hard and most often than not it was a huge determent to herself and her heart. So when she decides to focus on herself, that’s when fate pushes the perfect person at her. I loved how her inner dialogue was trying to keep her mind and her heart on the same page.
Dex is a single dad, I absolutely loved his girls! He has told himself that he is happy as he is, there is no need to add more to his world. Then Winnie walks into it and sparks fly!
This story had the perfect amount of angst and holy smokes the heat and smexiness! The push and pull between Winnie and Dex really ignited the pages of this story!
I am hoping that more of the next generation of characters from the world of Cloverleaf Farms get their stories told too! It was wonderful to read how everyone was doing. It was like a family reunion, and I loved it!
