Wowza…do I love Talbott’s Cove….Kate Canterbary has created a world that I want to live in.
I can enumerate on the multiple reasons why I admire Ms. Canterbary’s writing but I want to get to the review of Far Cry.
Yes this is the story of JJ & Brooke, but people, it is SO. MUCH. MORE. More than a love story with smexy times, more than just a humorous story with laugh out loud moments.
The amount of research that Ms. Canterbary puts into each of her stories is so thorough and seems so effortless. ย She takes her readers by the hand and makes them feel as though they too are knowledgeable in the fine art of gin or hedge funds or the way a small town can both feel claustrophobic and yet so part of your soul.
And I know this is considered a romance but I would love to drive the point home of the friendship between Annette and Brooke. ย It is amazing, it’s hella funny and it’s real. ย It’s the true definition of ride or die friends. The conversations between these two are phenomenal and goal worthy!! Seriously.
I loved how JJ could take the saltiness of Brooke and dilute it down to a more palatable taste. ย Brooke is a force of nature. ย She takes on the world of “men” with a set of brass cojones that no one but JJ could handle (and handle he does).
If you are looking for a smart, sassy and slightly smutty romance, look no further than this new story by Kate Canterbary!
