My Review…
Whew….I need a minute to process this fantastic story…
Their First Fall is a whirlwind, a tempest.
This is the Trucker and Keeka’s story and what a story it was.
Keeka is so, so selfless. I loved how she was so OK with the “timeline”, how she didn’t want to limit Trucker in any way, she wanted him to live his dream. She only wanted the moments…. For her to become the woman she is (yes, even though she was young, she had the maturity that most adults wish they had) with the upbringing she had is a miracle. Her backstory is sorrowful.
Trucker has been let down by the woman who should have loved him the most. Because of that, he mistrusts all women and treats them accordingly. Until he meets Keeka. He knows she is different, and tries to adjust his thinking. But some things he just can’t overcome and some truths are revealed and his fragile trust is bent, not broken, just bent.
Trucker and Keeka’s chemistry is blazing hot. I enjoyed how Trucker made himself “earn” his way with Keeka. I know I said it earlier, but it needs to be repeated. Keeka’s selflessness is amazing and so, so special and surprising.
Through trials and bouts of trust issues, they find their way back to each other and become what they were meant to me. A family, a unit stronger together than apart.
I know this book is part of the Firsts Series but it can totally be read as a stand alone. I know this because this the first book I have read from this author, but it won’t be the last! This is a must read!
