Welcome back to the spicy world of the Toronto Terrors!

This is the love/hate relationship between Dallas and Hemi.

When reading the other stories in this series, I always wondered why Hemi had such a hate on for Dallas and why Dallas, the loveable golden retriever hero that he is, would go along with all the shenanigans that Hemi signed him up for. Well, this is their story, and it explains it all!

Hemi is a take no prisoners, take no sass kind of gal that most of us would love to be. But behind that tough front is the fragile heart of a gal who is nursing some serious insecurities. I admire how Ms. Hunting can take an “unconventional” upbringing and bring it to the mainstream. I love the family that Hemi has, the family that chose her, and the family that she chose. She is an integral part of the Bada$$ Babe Brigade, and I flove that she is in it.

Dallas, oh, how this swoony fella has made it his mission to be the center of Hemi’s world. How he will do anything to be front and center, how he will do anything to grab Hemi’s attention (whether good or bad) and stay in her spotlight. He is an impulsive guy that sometimes doesn’t work to his benefit when it comes to Hemi, but he does what he feels he must.

And that epilogue!!! What a puck to the face that was!! Go and do yourself a favor and read this story, heck this whole series, you are gonna love it!

Welcome back to the amazing world that Ms. Madden-Mills has created!

In the second book of the Darlings series, we get to read the story of Jane and Jasper.

Jane is a single mom working in the family bookstore (of my dreams) and starting her own matchmaking business. Jane is dealing with some emotional scars that she pushes to the side to focus on her career and her darling daughter. 

Jasper is just wowza; he, too, is dealing with some emotional scars that make him into the man he has become.

Now, the chemistry between Jane and Jasper is fantastic, and I loved the love/hate relationship that bloomed between them, from friendship to more. It was an emotional rollercoaster that Ms. Madden-Mills was able to write with such talent.

From feelings of abandonment and not being worthy of love, Ms. Madden-Mills brings Jasper and Jane the love story that they both deserve!

I loved seeing past characters appear; it’s like a reunion in which you get to catch up with how everyone is doing!

I was so looking forward to reading this story, I fell in love hard with the fellas of Knox Creek, and this story is no exception!

This is the story of the final owner of Roosters, Drake and Cassidy.

Cassidy is the girl crush, the first kiss, and the woman that Drake had been waiting for and didn’t even know it.

Drake falls hard and fast and comes into Cassidy’s life like a whirlwind, and I loved the fast pace of their relationship.

You get to see past characters make their appearances known, but it doesn’t take away from the main story; it just adds to it.

I really love a story that is low angst, high swooniness, and when the man falls first, I love to read about how hard Drake chases after Cassidy and really embraces her whole world.

If you are looking for an insta-love, single-mom, swoony, steamy romance, get your hands on this story, you won’t regret it!

Welcome to the world of Anchors baseball!

You can sense Ms. Dunbar’s love of the game with this new story. 

This is the story of Ross and Verona.

Ross is a baseball legend who carried his love of the game from player to head coach. His whole world is baseball, and when tragedy happens in his life, that is what seems to carry him through.

Verona has been a baseball fan her whole life. In fact, her love of baseball is a family tradition that started with her dad and carried on to her children. 

The meet-cute between Ross and Verona is what you would call “happenstance,” and that theme is carried throughout the story.

The complex relationship between Ross and Verona is so well written that it kept me invested in these two until the end. The Easter eggs of characters from her previous series do not detract from this story but give her fans (like me) a lovely little surprise.

I always fall hard for the characters that Ms. Dunbar creates, and this introduction to a new series is just another jewel in her crown as the queen of over-40 romance!

What a fun-filled, swoony start to the holiday season with this stellar story by Ms. Quinn!

I loved everything about it! From the lovely town of Kringle to the convoluted relationship between Storee and Cole.

Storee (flove that name!) is brought back to the town of Kringle after leaving it a decade ago in disgrace; she carries that with her through the years and struggles when she first returns.

Cole, oh my me, this poor man has been through the wringer of devastation in his past, and it has made him the grinchiest grinch that ever was.

From miscommunication and untold feelings, we see the evolution of both Storee and Max. Through the competition, we see a holiday miracle that blossoms in the relationship between Storee and Max.

The secondary characters are fabulous and bring the hilarity that is always a hallmark of a Meghan Quinn story. 

You are going to fall in love hard and your heart will be filled with Christmassy goodness with this story! Bring on the mistletoe and the tinsel! I am here for it!

My Review...

I was so excited to return to the world that Ms. Hutchinson created in the Smartypants world!

The world of music, the world of celebrity, and the world where magic happens at XY studios! The way that Ms. Hutchinson brings her readers into this world is like going behind the curtain, beyond the red velvet rope, is realistic and full of swoons, and I am here for it!

This is the story of Asa and Zara and what a chemistry they had indeed!

A friend-to-lover romance is my favorite, and this one is gotta be one of the best.

I love the fact that Asa has an understanding of the world in which Zara has to live in. I also fell hard for him when he knew what he had to do and was willing to make the sacrifices needed to be the central, safe spot in her chaotic world.

Zara is a dynamo, a musical legend, but when it comes to some real-world feelings and relationships, she is just as vulnerable and fragile as the rest of us. 

I loved seeing past characters make their voices heard and helped Zara and Asa in their budding relationship!

This is definitely a re-read in the future, and I will have to go back and read the other books in this series!

I just love going back to Cherry Tree Harbor! I love that Ms. Harlow has created a world where her different series have a chance to interconnect.

I also love that this is the next generation of her characters that long-time fans have loved. 

This is the story of Joe and Mabel.

A fantastic meet cute, and the chemistry between them is amazing.

I love Mabel’s quirks, levelheadedness, and pragmatic view of her relationship with Joe. Even when her world gets turned upside down, she knows she has a good support system with the Buckleys.

Joe thinks he has everything he wants and is very adamant about not changing his status quo. While we see the drive in him that he needs to have to be the NHL player he is, I love how Ms. Harlow can take that and spin it to make him see the world is more than just his hockey ambitions.

The dialogue is funny and I loved the play on hockey terms throughout the relationship that builds between Joe and Mabel. 

I was so happy that Mabel didn’t have to wait to get her story told. It was so well done!

I am so loving the world that Ms. Kent created with the “Whatever it Takes” series!

This newest installment in this series was fantastic and relevant in today’s world.

This is the story of two influencers and how they learned to navigate their relationship and online presence.

This is Nessa and Matt’s story!

I have been intrigued by Nessa from the get-go; as an older reader, it was like learning a whole new world when it comes to her. I loved seeing her vulnerabilities regarding her relationship with Matt and trying to navigate that while still being her true self. 

Matt is well, God’s Gift…a moniker he tries to shy away from, but fits him so well.

I love the input from the grandma’s in their story! I loved how both Nessa and Matt make them a priority in their world.

As always, Ms. Kent brings the hilarity and the heart to every story she writes, I can’t wait to see what comes next from the employees of Wedding Protectors and the world they live in!

Can I be a member of the Sylver family?!?

Each sibling’s story just gets better and better.

This is the story of Clay and Mavis.

Clay is the caretaker of the Sylver family, a role that was thrust upon him after tragedy. It has molded him to the man he is today. He is a workaholic and he is OK with that. Until a storm with butterfly wings comes blowing back into his world.

Mavis is the epitome of a mama bear and rightfully so. She has been wrung through the wringer of life and wants to make a fresh start with her son. But does the past ever really leave you? She has always had a soft spot for Clay but is very trepidatious about what she feels and what she thinks Clay is feeling for her.

As always, Ms. Dunbar delivers the heat and swoons with this newest story and I love the way that the Sylver family comes to embrace Mavis and Dutton in a way a true family should. 

I want to move to Sterling Falls, the town and family that Ms. Dunbar creates is perfectly imperfect and I am here for it!
