A Gilmore Girls meets Schitt’s Creek redemption romcom.

Hazel Hart was a successful romance novelist until a breakup drives her straight into writer’s block. Having failed (and failed some more) to deliver her new manuscript, she’s hiding from the world behind a wall of old takeout containers until her publisher lays down the law. If she misses her next deadline it’s The End.

Desperate for inspiration, Hazel impulse-buys a historic home online and flees Manhattan to tiny Story Lake, PA. Upon her dramatic arrival—involving an incident with a bald eagle—she discovers the charm of her new home may have been slightly exaggerated.

The house is a wreck and the town is struggling after their biggest employer shut down. Also, since her raccoon-infested home came with a seat on the town council our introverted heroine is stuck with a front row seat to all the small-town shenanigans.

But Hazel isn’t worried. Not since all six-feet-three inches of grouchy contractor Campbell Bishop slapped a bandage on her forehead and unintentionally inspired the heck out of her. There’s only one thing to do: Hire Cam and his equally gorgeous brothers to renovate her new spider museum…er…house.

Okay two things. A fake date for “research purposes” will really put her work-in-progress on track. Before Hazel knows it, she’s writing a romance novel and living one. At least until the drywall dust settles, the town she’s falling in love with faces bankruptcy, and growly Cam remembers why he can’t live happily ever after.

My Review...

Well, Ms. Score has done it again! I want to move to Story Lake! With just the first book in a hopefully new series, I want to pack my bags and go!

This is the introduction to Story Lake, the Bishop family, and a whole new cast of characters that are going to make you laugh and swoon!

This is the story of Campbell and Hazel.

Campbell is the oldest sibling of the Bishop clan and the epitome of a grumpy alpha-hole with a cinnamon roll center! He fights his attraction to Hazel with all that he’s got, but when he finally gives in, he comes in hard! (LOL)

Hazel is an author in a HEA slump. Her real world is nothing to write about, and when she has to leave the life she has known for a new one in Story Lake, well, let’s just say she gets more than she bid for!

This story is fantastically funny and full of swoons and smexiness aplenty! I fell hard for this whole population of quirky residents and can’t wait to see what is coming next!

I’m Caleb Baumgarten, the “bad boy” drummer of Red Card Riot. The world knows me as C-Bomb, but I assure you, it’s Lil Miss Rule Follower, Aubrey Capshaw, who’s the human equivalent of an atomic bomb.

After tragedy strikes and the toddler with half my DNA inside her loses her beloved mommy, I get the bright idea to hire my daughter’s remaining lifeline, her “Auntie Aubbey,” as my live-in nanny. Also, embarrassingly, as my sobriety coach, so I can fulfill the terms of mandatory rehab.

Going into my forced living arrangement with Aubrey in her small town, I’m determined not to give in to my growing, thumping, white-hot attraction to her. There’s only a month before the custody hearing that will decide my fate as a father, and I’ll need Aubrey to testify on my behalf. Well, you know what they say about best laid plans, right? Yeah. My bad.

I expected Aubrey and me to scorch the walls of my bedroom, once I got her into my bed. What I didn’t expect, though, was that Aubrey would become the center of my universe, along with my small daughter. My family. My home. Which is why, when danger threatens, I don’t hesitate to protect what’s mine.

Finding Home is a standalone, small town, single dad rockstar romance with suspense, deep feels, spice, no cheating, no third act breakup, and a happily ever after. No prior reading required.

My Review...

Now it’s been a minute since I have been able to dive down into the worlds that Ms. Rowe creates. Life, that fickle lady has gotten in my way. So when I got this new story from the talented Ms. Rowe, I couldn’t wait to dive back in.

Finding Home can be read as a stand-alone, but long-time fans of Ms. Rowe are going to love the Easter Eggs that she has dropped throughout.

This is the long-awaited (at least for me) story of C-Bomb, Caleb Baumgarten, and his new world of fatherhood.

Now, in the past, I haven’t been a fan of his, his hotheadedness has gotten him into trouble more times than not. But Ms. Rowe has made me a fan of his. His back story, trials, and tribulations have explained why he is the way he is, and when Aubrey enters his orbit, it makes him the swoony hero he becomes.

Aubrey is all that Raine has left in the world, or so Aubrey thinks. Then in comes Caleb, and the sparks fly, the emotions run hot, and we get a relationship that is nothing short of amazing.

From the lake shores of Montana to the glitz and glitter of LA, we see the dynamic between Caleb and Aubrey, along with a Raine to create a beautiful new family.

You are going to fall in love hard with Caleb, you are gonna swoon aplenty and boy are you gonna clutch your pearls with the steaminess!

My Review...

Yes! I so love the Banks family! And to include all of them in this story of Maeve and Logan is just *chef’s kiss*!

Maeve takes her role as the oldest sister very seriously, too seriously, and it really forms her into the adult she is now. She’s a single mom, living life the best way she thinks she can when along comes a stranger in an airport bar that rocks her entire world.

Logan, oh holy swoons, this fella! He is perfection wrapped in a bow. From his emotionally scarring upbringing to the man he has become is truly wonderful. I absolutely love how he fits into Maeve’s world without her even knowing he is doing it. He is honest and forthright and it is lovely to see.

The banter between Maeve and the Banks family is fantastic, funny and what family should be.

Seeing past characters make their appearances known is right on par with the hilarity you come to know with a Ms. Sloan story!

I love the world, people, and everything that Ms. Sloan creates and I cannot wait to see what comes next from this stellar author!

What’s better than a revenge date?
A revenge husband.

Pro quarterback Ryan Ralston has always known two things. First, he’s desperately in love with his best friend Emme Ahlborg. Second–and most importantly–he still has no idea how to tell her.

The marriage pact they made in their senior yearbook was the closest he ever came. Years passed and Emme forgot about their promise. Ryan never did, especially not on his thirtieth birthday.

Emme can’t catch a break. Always unlucky in love, her cheating ex is a groomsman in her best friend’s wedding—and there’s no way she’s showing up alone.

Ryan offers her the one thing better than a wedding date: a revenge husband. And he’s not just any fake husband but the NFL’s brightest star…and in need of serious reputation rehab.

Playing the part of the happy couple comes easy and soon enough, the lines between real and fake blur. They disappear altogether when there’s just one bed.

All Ryan has to do is save Emme from her ex, find her step-sister an internship, and get his wife to fall in love with him—or fumble the one thing he’s ever wanted: her heart.

My Review...

I have been an avid fan of Ms. Canterbary since 2014, so when I found out that a little tease of a couple that was introduced back in 2016 was coming to us, I was ecstatic! I fell hard for Ryan and Emme, and I couldn’t have been more enamored with them with this slow-burn, childhood friends romance.

I love the flow of this story, I love the way that Ms. Canterbary slowly reveals her characters. The back stories of both Ryan and Emme are major in the evolution of the current relationship between them.

As always, the banter between all the characters is witty and whip-smart. The easter eggs that are throughout this story are like little drops of goodness for long-time fans.

One of the many things I have always admired about Ms. Canterbary is the way she writes what I call witty romance; she really delves into the inner workings of her characters and doesn’t sugarcoat the feelings that they have. With each turn of the page, you are brought into the world that Ms. Canterbary creates, and really makes you invested in the characters. Another outstanding read and just a testament to the creative talent that Ms. Canterbary is. Thank you for sharing your words with us!

My Review...

Whew, what a ride. Now, I’ll admit it’s been a minute since I’ve been able to really delve into the K. Webster universe, and now I remember why!

This is an introduction to the world of the Crownes and what a slippery rabbit hole it is.

I found myself having to really slow down and even re-reading paragraphs to make sure I wasn’t missing something.

This is the story of Romy, who fights to find her friend and keep her sanity when she is abducted by the Crowne family.

The worlds of reality and fantasy are blurred so much that I fought to try to figure out which was which.

Ms. Webster’s dark and twisty ways of bringing her reader into the worlds she creates are nothing short of fantastic, and I was truly engaged in what each chapter would bring.

Was Romy truly abducted, or wasn’t she? Was she fed lies, or is it the truth? This is the main focus of this first story in what I know will be a series that will take you on a helluva ride.

If you have never read a K. Webster story, be careful; you will find yourself immersed in a dark, scary, thrilling world that will leave you reeling in the end.

These former friends might be faking their engagement, but revealed crushes prove there might not be anything fictional about their arrangement.

In college, I often saw Judd Sylver in the library. He was a cool, broody type of guy who reminded me of a deeply tortured soul who might write poetry.

He was very different from the boy I met in third grade on National Make a New Friend Day when I passed him a note, asking if he wanted to be my new friend: Check yes or no.

(I’m a bit obsessed with calendar days.)

He was also vastly different from the young man who stood me up after I asked him to his prom.

Twenty years later, I can let bygones be bygones, especially when he rescues me from a bad date.

Then I witness him breaking up with his girlfriend which resulted in a sticky coffee drink on his chiseled cheeks and ice cubes on his fine-fitting jeans.

I offered him a napkin.

Hey, once a friend, always a friend, right? *insert sarcasm*

However, Judd takes us to the next level at my mother’s garden party, where a misunderstanding occurs with a teeny tiny slip of the tongue and a precious ring on my finger.

And suddenly, I’m Judd’s fiancée.

Fake or not, things are about to get a little too real with my old friend.

My Review...

Can I just say that Ms. Dunbar has me fully engaged in the Sylver family? That she makes me want to move to Sterling Falls like right now?

This is the story of Judd and Genie.

Judd is the quiet Slyver. He is the epitome of the saying, “Still waters run deep.” He holds a lot of emotional baggage, and he deals with it using his fists.

Genie has carried what she thought was an unrequited crush on Judd. She is quirky and independent, but she is also carrying some emotional scars that she is dealing with.

From lined unicorn paper to “check yes or no” notes, this story is going to grab your heart and place it in a blender set on frappe. Then, Ms. Dunbar is going to put your heart together with swoons, heat, and a dose of laughs.

I always love visiting the Slyver family. I love the way the siblings have overcome their upbringing and created a new, stronger family unit.

This story has got to be one of my favorites of the Sterling Falls series (I have a soft spot for quiet heroes). It is another gem in Ms. Dunbar’s Over 40 romance queen tiara!

Chase Lovett.

Star of my (unrequited) fantasies.

Hottest guy on campus.

Hockey god.

Too bad he has no idea who I am. Literally, I’m so invisible to him that he once sat on me in class.

No thanks to a fire in the dorms, he just became my accidental roommate.

Did I mention the hotel room our university moved us to has only one bed?

Not ideal.

Worse, I accidentally left “My Precious” Lord of the Rings underwear hanging to dry in our shower.
My actual nightmare.

My name is Cammie Lovelock and this might just be the worst, best thing that’s ever happened to me.

My Review...

Now, I don’t hand out tiaras willy-nilly; when I dub someone the queen of something, it means something. There are few authors I have bestowed the title on, and I will proclaim it with this review.

Helena Hunting is the queen of hockey romances!

That’s right, I said it, and I will stand by it.

This is the introduction to the Tilton University crew, and what an intro it is!

This is the story of Cammie and Chase.

Their story is fast-paced and I was devouring every page like the fans of Cammie’s fanfic. I love Cammie’s a-dorkable-ness, and I admired how she grew to love her quirks instead of hiding them. She is a many-faceted character, and I love how Chase was able to draw that out of her.

Chase, oh, you young hockey god. He is wildly popular because of his hockey status, which sometimes causes him to miss the forest for the trees. But holy h-e-double hockey sticks,  when he sees Cammie, he zones in harder than a goalie in the net.

Seeing past characters make their appearances doesn’t detract from the main story, it just gives Ms. Hunting’s long time fans a lovely surprise!

I cannot wait to read more stories from the cast of characters that Ms. Hunting has introduced us to!

About THE PATH TO LOVING HIM:

What does one do when they completely blow an interview?

If you’re me, you pick up a one-night stand with the most gorgeous man you’ve ever seen…

That’s right, after a lousy interview that could have changed everything for me, I headed over to the local small town bar to sulk when the one man I shouldn’t want walked in. And when my friend convinced me to take him back to my hotel room, I didn’t think about it, I just did it . . . well, I did him.

It was an unforgettable night, but I didn’t stay for breakfast. Instead, I got out of there and tried not to think about him again.

Everything was fine until I received a call from the interviewer saying I got the job as the assistant baseball coach at Almond Bay High. I’d be working directly under the one and only Ryland Rowley–my one-night stand.

Now, I’m not only working with him but renting the apartment above his garage. And I have to deal with the fact that he’s the man I dream about and can’t have while not letting my attraction get in the way of keeping the harmony between us. Sounds easy, doesn’t it?

It should have been, except the plan falls apart when my shower breaks, and night after night I have to slip into his house to use the bathroom only to find him in the kitchen, staring me down with those hungry, single dad eyes.

My Review...

Wow, what a welcome back to Almond Bay. Ms. Quinn definitely saved the best for last in this series! Now, this can be read as a stand-alone, but do yourself a favor and read the entire series.

This (for me) has been the long-anticipated story of Ryland. He is the protector, the big brother of the Rowley clan. He makes his job as guardian to his niece and his job his top priorities. He works hard to overcome the scars from his past to become a better man.

Gabby is also overcoming scars from her past to give her all to her little brother. To make his dreams come true. When a dream job comes to her, she jumps at the chance to do something for herself.

The way that Ryland and Gabby were able to navigate their white-hot chemistry, their work relationship and their budding personal relationship was done fabulously. I loved how Ms. Quinn really dug down to give Gabby the grace her character needed to fit into Ryland’s world seamlessly.

The secondary characters just add the chef’s kiss of a well rounded story.

This story is amazing; it’s going to give you all the feels! I laughed, I cried, and I swooned hard for this couple. Just wait till you see the ending…wowza…perfection.

Isaac has never been what he seems.

Rumor has it that gruff, brooding, and solitary man-of-mystery Isaac Sylvester is back in town, and the only thing folks in Green Valley know for certain is that this prodigal son’s motives are as elusive as he is. He’s been spotted loitering near the old Townsen farm, hanging around the Hill’s homestead, and glaring menacingly from the edges of The Donner Lodge’s parking lot. What this hometown-hero-turned-criminal wants, no one knows. Nor can they stop talking about it.

Hannah’s last night as an exotic dancer might just be her most memorable.
Hannah Townsen has often been a subject of local gossip. Folks shook their heads when Hannah’s daddy ran out on her momma; folks blessed her heart after Hannah’s momma had that tragic accident; and folks really talked up a tizzy when Hannah became an exotic dancer in order to pay off her parents’ debt and put food on the table. But now, ten years after being dubbed as a hometown-stripper-with-a-heart-of-gold, Hannah has seemingly—and finally—fallen off the gossip mill’s radar.

That is, until the enigmatic Isaac Sylvester shows up at Hannah’s retirement party wanting so much more than a private dance. . .

‘All Folked Up’ is the third book in the Good Folk series and is a full-length, small town, contemporary romantic comedy novel.

My Review...

I have been waiting ever so patiently for this story; as a long-time fan of Ms. Reid, I have been intrigued by the character of Isaac Sylvester. Boy, did she folking deliver on his story!

This is Isaac and Hannah’s story.

I absolutely flove the imperfect perfection of Ms. Reid’s characters. These are no run-of-the-mill heroes and heroines. They are quirky and a bit rough around the edges, but when you see those pieces come together like Isaac and Hannah do…well, it’s *chef’s kiss*.

Isaac and Hannah have emotional baggage, yet Ms. Reid uses her talented mind to make a redemption story for the ages! From Isaac’s stoicism to Hannah’s fight to find her happiness, I could not put this story down once I started!

I love going back to Green Valley and seeing the whole cast of characters make subtle yet meaningful moments with Isaac and Hanna.
