My Review…

My absolute favorite genre in the romantical book world is romantic comedy. This book by new to me author Stephanie St. Klaire brings the humor in full force with this book!

DILF Diaries is the the story of Jack and his neighbor Juliet. This story really brings home the quote “There is a thin line between love and hate”.

Jack knows just which of Juliet’s buttons to push to send her over the edge. Juliet thinks she knows what kind of man Jack is and she wants know part of it whatsoever, or so she tries hard to believe.

When surprise addition makes an appearance in Jack’s world. Well that’s when the hilarity ensues. To read about him stumble through fatherhood was fantastic and real. To read about Juliet realizing there is more to Jack than the rumors state is swoony.

This story made me laugh out loud! (Much to the annoyance of my family…oh well, they know me and know my reading habits!)

This is a fast paced, quick read that was funny, smexy and a touch of swoony! I can’t wait to read what comes next in this new series! You have yourself a new fan Ms. St. Klaire!

Charity Case #3

Just when I think this charismatic couple of writers can’t possibly come up with a better story than the last, they blow that thinking right out of the water!

With Happy Hour, we get the final story in the trio of friends with Hannah and Roarke. They have been simmering in the back stories of Manic Monday and Afternoon Delight just waiting to have their story heard.

I absolutely love Hanna, she is the definition of classy, sassy and a little smart-assy! She is poise and grace, but has principles of steel when it comes to what she believes in. And sometimes that can backfire on her. She also has a vulnerability that she doesn’t like to show especially when it comes to Roarke.

Roarke, what a silver fox, what a silver tongued devil. He receives the wrath of Hannah because of the past and his part in it. But he proves he is a fighter. He is relentless in his pursuit of Hannah and it’s swoony to read! He too takes some missteps in the relationship he is trying to build. But the way he proves his feelings to her is brilliant! As a vintage gal myself, I love to read about older characters, who have more experience in the world.

As with every other book by Piper Rayne, you get a fantastic vocabulary entry into the dictionary of Piper Rayne! I am not gonna spoil it, but when you read it, you will know!

The epilogue was fantastic! What dirty, dirty teases that the duo of Piper Rayne are! Cannot wait to see what they come out with next!!

A Rosewood Bay Novel

I was waiting not so patiently for Juliette’s story and it was worth the wait!

Freed is the story of Juliette and Braden.

Juliette was truly a beautiful bird trapped in a gilded cage. Her father was an over the top example of a over-protective parent. He kept her chained to his side in the worst way. Juliette is the epitome of a dutiful daughter and when her trust and faith in her father is shattered, she goes to the only family she has left.

Braden is trying to keep his “ducks in a row” and finds it more difficult when he lands an easy job with great pay. An answer to a big chunk of his problems. He struggles with his guilt, with both Juliette and his father and it was moving to read his reactions to what life throws at him.

From their first meeting, Juliette and Braden’s chemistry was stellar! I enjoyed reading the trust she had in Braden right away and his conflict over it.

Reading about the reunion of the sisters was touching. I loved how Phoebe and Halley embraced her with open arms. Something that Juliette needed desperately.

It was lovely to catch up with secondary characters, it was like a family reunion to catch up with what everyone is up to.

I respected Juliette’s strength, especially when it came to her parents and standing her ground. She is no shrinking violet!

Finally, I enjoyed reading a small tease of the next book in the series, we will get Andi’s story and I know that will be another fantastic read!

Wowza! What an introduction to a new series!!

Such fantastic characters!

Bad Behavior is just the beginning. This is the start of the story of Emma and Jameson.

A story of opposites attracting, but are they really opposites? I don’t think so. Sure they grew up in very different circumstances. But does that mean they can’t love each other. Jameson thinks so and Emma knows better.

Emma knows what she feels for Jameson is true. Her commitment to him is proven in the story! You will have to read to see just how much she believes in her feelings for Jameson.

Jameson is so torn. You can really feel it when you are reading his POV in the story. Which way will he go? Who will he choose? Why does he have to choose? So many questions are running through by head as I finished this story!

Emma has given her everything to Jameson, to the relationship she feels that they have. She wants more, she deserves more. She wants it with Jameson. I felt her pain of giving more that she was getting.

The secondary characters add a depth and richness to the story. I cannot wait to read more about them in future books.

The cliffhanger! Oh Vivian, you dirty, dirty tease! (I mean that in the most respectful way possible!!) The wait to get my hands on the conclusion of Emma and Jameson’s story will be long and torturous…in the best possible way!
