My Review…

Liar, liar, panties on fire!

This story is the perfect romantic comedy. One little lie gets the ball rolling for Cori and Nick.

This is a fast paced, modern day fairy tale, complete with evil ex-friends, a fairy drag queen and helpful friends along the way.

Cori had a naiveté that while sweet, made me want to shake her silly and say open your eyes girl!!

Nick had a bit of a stalkerish vibe that may set some people off, but like Cori, I enjoyed his persistence.

The secondary characters are phenomenal and add so much to the story!  They made me laugh!

The only issue I had was it was hard to follow some of the chapters, they tended to switch from Cori’s POV to Nick’s POV and while I was happy to see both main characters get their say, I wish it could have been more structured.

Over all a great story and can’t wait to read more from Ms. St. Klaire!

Wow, just wow! What a helluva first book in the Truth Duet. A new series by Ms. Martinez.

This story will grab you from the prologue and you are not going to be able to put it down until the end.

This is the story of Cora and Penn. But it’s also so much more.  This story is gritty and harsh and heartfelt.  It also funny and swoony and oh so hopeful. Or is it?  It’s going to keep you guessing until the very end. And what an end it has! It’s going to make you count the days down until the second half comes out.

Cora is strong, so strong and even with the situation she is in, she still finds humor and happiness wherever she can.  She hold secrets so very close to her and she only truly trusts herself, until Penn comes into the picture.

Penn is such a broken man, what he has gone through and what he has witnessed is something of nightmares.  He has a plan and that plan goes sideways when he meets Cora.

The mystery of this story and the small teases of information that Ms. Martinez gives us is amazing! This is a story you need to really read slowly, so you don’t miss the clues that she gives out.  Like small bites of cupcakes that Cora enjoys so much.

I will be waiting eagerly for the next book in this duet! The ending of this story is going to have you begging for more!

Ms. Dunbar is the queen of over 40 romances! I am declaring it now, I have to work on a sash and tiara for her.

Restored Dreams is the story of Brut and Lily. While this story can totally be read as a stand alone, I highly suggest you read After Care and Midlife Crisis.  Burt is the brother of Hank, whose story is Midlife Crisis and we see small glimpses of other characters too.

Burt and Lily have such a agonizing history.  A horrible mistake and consequences separate the two.  Years pass and from the sly help of family, they are reunited. This story takes the old saying “You can forgive, but you can never forget” to a whole new level.

Ms. Dunbar really knows how to write words that will make you melt, make you swoon and make you want a Brut of your own! From “I don’t know your sounds” to “Everything and beyond…” She also makes you laugh with the new to me code “739”! I may have to use that one!

I can’t tell you how happy I am that I was introduced to her work! She is truly an amazing author and I plan on stalking her forever! (In a respectful, responsible way, I promise!!)

Get your hands on this must read! This fabulous story is in the running for my “Best of 2018 Reads!!”

Gaaahhhh! I am loving this series! Vivian is the queen of cliffhangers! I will be making a sash and tiara for her soon!

Bad Reputation is the continuing story of Emma and Jameson. The story picks up right where it left off in Bad Behavior.

You know that Emma and Jameson are made for each other. It’s gut wrenching to read the relationship growing pains that they have. They both want the same thing, they don’t want the judgement of family and friends. The old school machinations of Emma’s family is a constant battle for Emma. She realizes things about herself. She knows she has to break from the mold and demand better from both her family and Jameson.

Oh Jameson, you are even more of a swoony bas**rd! I am glad he figured out that he didn’t owe anyone, anything. He decides to go for what he wants and that is Emma!

The secondary characters are even better, I love how Vivian is setting up for some fantastic future stories for them!

Get you hands on this duet! You won’t be disappointed!!

My Review…

What a fantastic author collaboration!!

Hold You Close is the story of Ian and London. They have known each other since forever.  London being best friends with Sabrina, Ian’s sister.

Young love prevails, and heartache ensues.  Ian wants to believe he is doing a truly selfless act. London is heartbroken.

Flash forward almost 20 years later and a horrible tragedy strikes.  Forcing Ian and London to work together.  There truly is a fine line between love and hate between these two.  And holy bonkers can London hold a grudge!

The chemistry between Ian and London is off the charts!  I was taken aback by the hateful words and actions flying between them and yet when they come together, it’s hotter than a pepper sprout!

This story flowed fabulously, which I believe must be really hard to do when two authors are writing one story! There was no hesitation, no jumps or  no problems with continuity.

I hope that we can get another story from Ms. Michaels and Ms. Harlow! Readers, you will really enjoy this, can’t put down story!!
