My Review...
Who doesn’t love a good origin story? I know I do! And to see the origin story of our favorite crazy enforcer, Lorenzo from the Corrupt Empire series, to say I was excited to read this would be an understatement.
This is the long-awaited story of Lorenzo and Victoria. A childhood love, broken by circumstance and misinformation. Separated by time and devious means.
Revenge is at the heart of this story, and when Lorenzo and Victoria come back together, it’s not hearts and flowers; it’s vengeance and destruction.
This can totally be read as a standalone, but as a long-time fan of Ms. Harrison, it was great to see past characters make their presence known.
In fact, when I go back to re-read this series again, I may start with this book and then continue to the rest.
