After failing my last semester of grad school, I decided to come back to my hometown and wallow in my boyfriend’s sympathetic arms. Instead, he proceeded to dump me . . . for being boring!
Now, I’m not typically a spiteful person, but there’s only so much I can take. Hence why I’m holding the box of his most cherished possessions…stolen possessions no less!
The plan? To give the box back to its rightful owner and rat my ex out. How’s that for being boring?
But plans never go the way you want them, because instead of dropping off the box with a note, I’m pinned with the crime by the true owner of the box himself.

OK, before I gush profusely about this newest story from Ms. Quinn, I am asking her as one of her biggest fans, please, please, please give us more stories from the Rowley family and the inhabitants of Almond Bay!
This is the introduction to the lovely town of Almond Bay, with its quirks, flamboyant characters, and it’s own “Girl Gang”.
This is the story of the youngest Rowley sibling Hattie. This is also the story of a lost singer Hayes Farrow. And finally, this is a story of love, loss, and finding your way back home.
This story is going to make you laugh loud and ugly cry, and if it doesn’t, well, you must be dead inside! (Just kidding….)
How the Rowley family rallies around a huge loss is laudable, and seeing the struggle to find a new normal makes the hopeful heart shine.
The ugly past will rear its ugly head, but once it has seen the light, it is banished to the past where it belongs.
This story is reminiscent of one of my most favorite stories that Ms. Quinn has given us, Dear Life, and so much more. Do yourself a favor and get your hands on this; you won’t regret it!
