I really love Ms. Walls’ stories. Each one I’ve read have moved me. Gravel Road is no exception.
This is the story of Miranda “Randi” and Austin, but it was so much more.
The meaning behind the sound of the gravel road to Austin. The meaning of the gravel road to Miranda.
This story is angsty, in such a good way. There is also a bit of a mystery surrounding all the characters and I loved how Ms. Walls held the backstory until she was ready to share it with us readers.
There is heartbreak, there is love and there is redemption in this story.
Miranda and Austin’s love story was the stuff of legend. It was a love that even though was bumped and bruised over the years, it remains strong.
Miranda was such a complicated character. She was strong, she was a free spirit, until the unthinkable happens and she is crushed beyond measure. And she leaves the gravel road behind.
Austin is a true southern gentleman. Miranda is his whole world. When she isn’t there, he continues to do what he needs to do to keep the sound of the gravel road his peace.
Such a heartfelt and moving story. I was so happy to have a chance to read this! Get your hands on this!!
