My Review…
Another new to me author and I love it!
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith – 2 Timothy 4:7
Loved how this verse sets the tone of the whole story.
Whispers of My Skin is the story of Tara and Joel and what a story it is.
Tara is dealing with a world of hurt on her shoulders and you get glimpses of something more that is going on with her, but you don’t really know until Susana decides to share it with you and she does so spectacularly. Tara knows what her failings are and in reuniting with Joel, she hopes to get his help to fix some of them and will do just about anything for his help.
Joel is the ultimate alpha. He comes from a rough childhood and is looked down upon by the people that employees him. Back in his younger years he falls in love with a ranch owners daughter (Tara) and things go horribly for both Joel and Tara. “Keep the Faith” Flash forward 12 years later and Tara is again in front of him and he knows, that this is his forever.
I loved the angst, the suspense and the chemistry between Tara and Joel is perfection. They have to suffer through some terrible things but there is a happily ever after!
I am so glad I was able to read this story! I am looking forward to what will come next! Thank you for your words Susana!
