My Review…
I really enjoy Vivian’s books. This story of Effie and King really stretched my comfort zones, but in a good way.
Effie made some monumental mistakes, but when you realize how young she was, you can forgive it.
King made demands and threw down ultimatums, but he too was young and you can forgive him.
Effie and King’s chemistry was off the charts, and even though some of the elements was what stretched my comfort zones, it was theirs and I kept reading.
Vivan can create a world where you are free to be who you are and not sit in judgement.
Although it wasn’t my favorite story from Vivian, I still rather enjoyed the story! It was a quick read, fast paced and I enjoyed Effie’s interactions with her Yaya, it was heartfelt and touching.
